Just to be clear - it doesn't matter what gear your in when you calculate horsepower. If your in a lower gear - you get more torque, but less rpm. The equation is HP = Torque x rpm /5250. What 1:1 gives you is less LOSS in the transmission because the trans is more efficient in 1:1 (and converter locked!)

So I have heard some people are saying that the demon 170 has been under rated for insurance reasons. I'm betting it has closer to 1100

Man the way that front end lifts when he hits it. Wow.

That is just what I wanted to see what a beast can only get better with modification, I have a hellcat and it’s scary. Can only imagine what you have. Congratulations.

Definitely a beast from the factory. Just really hard to obtain for a average person. But it’s definitely a special vehicle.

For the car to sound like this from a video is amazing. In person I bet this sounds phenomenal

  • Glad to see you back in a dodge X and thank you for the vids and allowing us to see that beast in action.
  • Hot damn! For being stock, that is INSANE! Nobody does crazy stuff like this, quite like Dodge! Congrats buddy! 🎉🎉
  • I’m so freaking impressed with your car… my face is starting to hurt from smiling ☺️… I think this is best car you can ever own… So nice 👍🏻… 👍🏻😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
  • @DougSalyers

Nice numbers. Remember X that there are more folks who are going to talk bad about the 170. They have their reasons. Not good reasons but their reasons. I like the fact that this is the ultimate Muscle Car and it does not pretend to be anything different. This is in a better category than my 70 GTX 440-6. It was just one of the street bruisers that stalked the streets in the 70s. Along with the 426 Hemi, 454 LS6, 427 Ford and a host of 455s . But this Demon 170 stands alone. Will it be beaten on the strip? Sure. But that’s always a drivers race to win or lose. Thanks for the video and before the haters come in and correct me on anything. Read carefully what I said. Emphasis on Muscle Car. Not sports car or sedan or all wheel drive electric machines. Just plain old all American Muscle Car.

That is totally freaking awesome, congrats bud, you have a ultimate street beast, very impressive/mind blowing numbers for a production car. Congrats Racer X.
  • Wow…. Real HP… unbelievable. RACERX👊 were you guys using the chiller while it was on the Dyno? Also try ignite fuel when you race the Plaid! That is a true 85% ethanol. You’ll get all the beans….What an awesome upload man super excited to see this car in action. Truly impressed Mr. X.

That is absolutely insane mate!! Can't wait to see it at the track!! Love your videos!

Nice!! I heard that the Demons and DC170s are speed limited because the drag radials won't safely handle more than 165mph. Most cars wouldn't hit that in the 1/4 anyway. Take the governor off and they will hit 205mph given enough runway.
