Villains like Firelord Ozai and Sosuke Aizen are to be appreciated. Ozai was just evil because he had power and even Zuko talked about how stupid it would be to learn why he's evil. Aizen didn't want someone he didn't know to be in control of him. This is how you write villians

I love pure evil characters, not everyone needs a sad crybaby backstory or have this super complex end goal where they somehow manipulated everything from the start. Some characters can simply just be horrible humans or beings that can’t be reasoned with or intimidated. They don’t show any concern for human life and are a force to be reckoned with, that’s what makes them terrifying.

Palpatine is the best and my favorite evil villain. Bro manipulated a whole galaxy just because of how evil he is and was successful in the most brutal way for a very long time. He killed all his opps from every side. I like multidimensional villains too, but sometimes evil is just evil and it just works!

Dio Brando is a good example of this. He has no morales, petty beyond belief, and basically just lives to hate on people. Yet he is arguably a top 10 villain of all time.
