its not about roasting people its about showing young women that what we see everyday on instagram is not reality and it sets an unrealistic beauty image that could be detrimental to ones self esteem. and that everyone we see on our phone screens have the same imperfections as the rest of us. <3 great video

I feel like once people start retouching they won’t be able to stop... because you have to maintain your new look!

can we appreciate how nice jessica was this entire time

In response to the second picture, angles matter sooooo much and can make a huge difference! I have a round face with very soft features, so a picture of me at the wrong angle can make me look like a featureless blob even if I think I look good in the mirror.

The one thing I hate about some of these celebrity comparison photos is they'll go find a pic of someone who just came out of the gym after a workout, and then compare it to a photo shot in a studio with perfect lighting and makeup, as if those conditions wouldn't make anyone look much different. Of course people edit and manipulate photos, but it seems like people make these comparisons because they dislike the person more than anything else.

Honestly, while a lot of photos are shopped, I can easily find two photos where I look like a different person. It kinda makes me sad sometimes... like why don't I look like my best photo all the time? My daughter can also look like two different babies depending on her expression. Un-retouched photos can "lie" too.
  • I know people like to hate on the insta ladies but like this is a symptom of the bigger problem of extreme pressure and the culture that breeds insecurities. Like so many people rag and roast how the ladies look unshopped and its like well now we know why thy feel too scared to not shop themselves. Like if we weren't so hard on womens looks this wouldn't happen.

I think Kylie believes the way she looks on instagram is how she looks in real life..
  • @RumpledRegina
The girl at 9:40 is absolutely gorgeous in her second pic that has the unflattering lighting, just WOW

Jessica: no one has perfect, shiny hair like that! Jessica: has perfect, shiny hair 😂💕

I love how classy you keep it with these types of videos. Some people can be so nasty and rude about these things for no reason.
  • @Groedhaette
The difference in face shape may also be caused by the focal length of the lens. Smart phone cameras have fairly wide lenses which makes the face appear slimmer and the eyes larger, especially when the picture is taken from a high angle. The paparazzi photos, in contrast, are surely done with a telephoto lens which may make the features appear broader.
  • I really admire that you reminded everybody to not compare themselves to the unrealistic standard of edited photos WITHOUT degrading the people with the edited photos. 😁

The zoomed retouched photo of Kylie Jenner looked like a painting to be honest. It looked too smooth and symmetrical.

I’m a photographer and a lot of the time, annoyingly, the best photo is one with closed eyes which has the biggest smile. I’m good at eye swapping for those reasons
  • @butter6572
9:50 shes actually so pretty in the non edited photo like wow she does not need any!
  • @hleebeg
"You're gonna look incredible in that type of light" Baby, I look best in the dark 😂
