  • Volumetric Efficiency is simply said the Volume of Air that enters the cylinder compared to it’s displacement. So if you have a 2 Liter engine but the engine can breath ( due to throttleplate restriction ) only 1 Liter per cycle you have 50% VE. Based on that and the outside air temperature and barometric density the ECU converts it to mass which can be used to calculate how much fuel (mass) to add to get the desired AFR.

    So larger number means more fuel, smaller number means less fuel? Trying to get mine dialed in so it not running so rich.
