  • Idk, People complain about not having enough character development and when they do get it, they called the season meh or boring! We are getting to the big battle episodes, guys, but we need context, we need to care when this people DIE.
  • @jaime1200
I truly enjoyed this episode. Not only did the world expand but other characters had a chance to speak. This felt classic GOT.
  • @Tomas-rg4us
Grace, you're way too hung up on the nude scene. Just bizarre that you spent so much time on it.
  • @ozwarz
America and their issues with nudity but not violence. šŸ˜…
  • @Dren1827
Even during peak GOT, not every single episode had amazing moments that set the internet ablaze. There were PLENTY of slow burn episodes.
  • This ep was classic GOT. Itā€™s called character development. The nude scene wasnā€™t that serious, why would he be ashamed, ppl do more for less. Every ep canā€™t be action. One of the many reasons we love GOT is for the dialog & set up of the chess pieces on the board. Grace continually praising the acolyte while nitpicking GOT is so bizarre atp

5:30 Game of Thrones established the formula of shocking moments by NOT having them every episode. Why are you expecting shocking stuff from the first 3 episodes of the season? (Even so I feel like Blood and Cheese was pretty shocking) The whole reason GoT's moments were so intense and surprising is because they were built up to over time. Ned's death was the end of season 1. The first big battle of the series was at the end of season 2. The next major character death after Ned really wasn't until the Red Wedding at the end of season 3. If they had shocking moments every episode, they wouldn't be shocking!

I saw the nude scene as if Aemond overcomes the shame and stood up in a way that showed him proud and powerful. Even the camera showing him the way it did put him over all the others in the room.
  • @SWACBUZZ
Y'all will appreciate episodes like this once we have the full season. I like them fleshing out characters and giving us extra information.
  • Grace didnā€™t you just talk about Supes not looking lick-able from head to toe on your recent breakdown? Then a show known for nudity, does nudity , and suddenly youā€™re all alarmed šŸ¤” I think if the actor was uncomfortable he would have not done the scene.
  • Sorry Grace. You think the Acolyte is great and donā€™t like HoTD. Not buying it.
  • Grace you didnt understand Aemonds scene at all. Its sad really. And I love how you talk like GOT had action every episode. The time as that was the norm was the shitfest season 7-8. And the new guards are Aegons friends. How can you overanalyze a simple full nude scene representing the overcoming of shame and proudness and not notice the obvious?????
  • people have no patience. The action is coming. We need to care about these people when it does. This was the major complaint about the last 2 seasons of thrones! Also, go back to prime GOT and the first couple episodes of each season. A lot of "nothing happening"
  • This show is exactly what quality HBO content is šŸ”„ from the character development, cinematography and superb writing. Easily the best show on tv atm šŸ‰

According to Grace's logic so far, it's a mighty shock that Game of Thrones ever took off, much less become the most popular/watched show in the world.
  • @pigpig1938
You mentioned that it doesn't have the shock value of Game of Thrones, but in my opinion, most seasons of Game of Thrones started similarly. The first three episodes often set the stage, with the action picking up in the latter half of the season.

Once again Allicent falls in line behind the men in her life (first her father, then her husband and father, now her sons and the council) whereas Rhaenrya refuses to just go along with their wishes. Great ep. Also loved how Corlys didnā€™t like the idea of Rhaena taking over as Lord of Driftnark but was upset that Rhaenys was passed over in favor of Viserys. Not sure what people were expecting yā€™all praised the slow burn of last season. English actors donā€™t really seem to give a sh- about nudity so I wouldnā€™t be surprised if Ewan didnā€™t care.
  • @nofaze
Grace.. lord Strong was not disrepecting prince Daemon.. it was Daemon who insisted he be called your grace.. if a queen sits on the throne you cannot have a king.

Itā€™s not too slow. Maybe people should stop using Instagram or Social Media which is shortening attention spans
