Hi and thanks for joining me in the second devlog! In this video I make a machine that shoots the player character between planets. Also I talk about my approach to make the sky more interesting, I fix an issue with the player hitbox and add a new enemy.

"To make the weapon look more modern" adds 2 white stripes

Me after seeing the first devlog: “I will watch your career with great interest.”

This looks really impressive! Looking forward to closely following this game dev journey.
  • The 4 legged robots should have more impact on the ground when moving. Just smoke or dirt particles so they feel more heavier... :)

Your should make it so that you can trick the long legged robot into cutting off it's own legs with it's laser.

Are we just gonna ignore how f#cking terrifying it is to see that massive robot walk in your direction? I love everything about it!

wow the "sound design demo" part really shows how much sound helps to make a game shine.

The shooting into space transition is so smoooooothhh
  • You can add some particles when things fall on ground to make it look more impactful and make some more things in the sky like galaxies and some bright stars, btw looks amazing.
  • Maybe players could change the colours of the body parts in the game menu, a building, or painting station near the transportation device.

2 seconds in and I'm already hooked on this video

The idea of using the spider form to shoot the legs off the big robot is really cool, I feel like more enemies that need you to use that form would really help make it feel like a useful tool. Like enemies you have to chase around the walls or something, not sure how easy it would be to do but might be cool.

Recomendation As you progress, the character can have more morph forms for each planet. each planet’s boss needs that ability to beat Also when you change between crawl form and human it looks a bit weird

You could make it so that any enemies near the leg when it goes down or players gets crushed once it turns into a ragdoll. That would make it feel more realistic and risky! You could probably set up some traps if there is a boss where you have to crush it with one of the big robot's legs.
