Published 2018-03-13
A busy day in Columbia with the House on its second day of floor debate on the $8.2 billion budget, which featured tense exchanges over proposed amendments. The Senate Judiciary Committee sent a bill to the Senate floor that makes it a crime to threaten violence at a school with a weapon. A Senate Judiciary subcommittee sent H.4379, a bill creating a consumer advocate for utility ratepayers in the Attorney General's office, to the full committee and the Senate approved a bill creating a child's advocate position.
