BBC NEWS, THE FILM REVIEW, MARK KERMODE
"Brillant coming-of-age story... ambitious drama... great performances... terrific young leads."

JOANNA LUMLEY
“Quite wonderful: dark, unsettling, gripping, touching and stunningly shot, acted and edited. It’s story was very cleverly framed by the sorrowful situation in Kashmir, giving a glimpse of the endless nightmare that has descended on that Himalayan paradise. Bravo!”

LITTLE TERRORIST STORY :
Jamal, a 12 year old Muslim Pakistani mistakenly crosses the border between India and Pakistan, finding an unusual ally in a Hindu Brahmin, Bhola. Indian soldiers descend on Bhola’s village searching for the ‘terrorist’ who crossed over. His niece, Rani, insists they can’t let a Muslim into their Hindu home. With Bhola and Rani grappling with the consequences of harbouring a Pakistani and their deep-set prejudice against Muslims, Jamal’s only hope is the humanity shared by a people separated by artificial boundaries a long time ago.

  • Waited so long for this .. and the timing is so perfect as such master peices are really the need of time considering the ongoing hate war between the two countries due to the really saddening and unfortunate event . People should definitely watch this and get some seriously needed lessons. Hearty Congratulations to you Ashvin please keep making such films. Have no words to praise it.

The last scene brought tears 😭 in my eyes ...I wish one day the people from both the countries hug each other happy heartedly 😌
  • Kash ye dil sab ke pass ho kya hindu kya muslim sirf ek inshaniyat jindabad
  • This clip make me to remember Mr. Abdul sattar Edhi from Pakistan who returned our Sister safely to India.
  • @susana3036
Can't imagine the pain in the hearts of those old men who grew up and played on the land where stands a border now between both the countries and they can only remember the old days & smile & accept the fact that things have changed now. 🙂

Message of lifetime in 15 minutes. What a masterpiece! Only Indian subcontinent can judge the emotions depicted.
  • @blueberet7272
I experienced the same feeling, of how similar we look and are when I met some Indians from across the border whom I initially mistakenly took to be Pakistanis. I hope peace prevails, kudos to the whole crew for such an amazing message.
  • @khizar8286

After watching this short film, the heart is dripping with happiness Oh Lord of someone above, giver of someone's need, give us both the courage so that we can live together as common people of this earth. Thanks 🙏
  • @devangamin5783
The timing of that folk song "Padharo Mhare Desh" stole the show. The very moment when the kid realizes that they are saving him but he's not welcome in their home he gets to listen to a song about hospitality, damn. Loved it.
  • My grandfather lost almost all the males from his family and the females were remarried only because they stood against the British rule. They stood for our freedom. He became an orphan. Those people sacrificed everything for their vatan. For Hindustan. And fight and hatred between India and pakistan is nothing but a slap on all "our" freedom fighters'faces. A mocking on all their efforts and on their ideology. I thought people who want peace are no more but It's so good to see so many "Hindustanis " be it from India or from Pakistan. I stand against hate. Do you?
  • In human beings humanity should be first 🙏. Their is nothing more than humanity. Like if u r agree👍.
  • @bootycall
10:12 That moment when he realised that he was saved by this family but then they discriminated him because of religion, then the singers singing "Padharo Mhare Desh!" Such a confused nation we are.
  • @atifbashir7229
I am from Pakistan and I love this ..... Peace should prevail
  • @streeteleven
Basically Bajrangi bhaijaan without being over the top and the stupid dramatization. That's why I love short films, always to the point, without any fluff.
