Leylah is unfazed by big hitters. I actually think she loves the challenge of going up against them. In her run to the 2021 US Open final, she beat mega hitters and higher ranked players Osaka and Sabalenka along the way.

It's really refreshing to see a player like Fernandez who has an unorthodox style. It makes tennis more interesting to watch.

Leylah was on another level in this one...she exposed Zheng mobility

She has taken it up a BIG notch, she adapted to Zhengs formidable power by forcing her to move. What she really has done well this tournament is taken the initiatiave away from the opponent and not allowed them to dictate play. Its been wonderful to see her reintroduce the full variety into her game. Execution of all the shots is superb. Its a joy to watch her go back to her roots with a bit more power. Made my morning to see her play like this against Zheng. How she has come back from a difficult year is truly amazing.
