  • Female here, drove semi 26 years solo. I am not a mechanic Lol. I maintained my company truck. On my personal pickup I have always changed my own oil, greased back in the day replaced starter, drive shaft, batteries, alternator, thermostat, simple stuff. I really appreciate Scotty. You guys probably have been in the mechanic shop when a woman walks in! Lots of shops not all, see stupid and $$$. At least Scotty gives this lady enough information that I don’t get scammed!! He’s funnier than heck really appreciate him!!💝

I’ve been wrenching my entire life, I’m 69yo now… I’m glad I found your channel cause you crack me up! Wish we could have worked together, but keep up the great content👍
  • The father we didn’t know we needed but are oh-so happy we found! Thank you Scott, may it be repaid tenfold for you for being honest and righteous in helping us all!

Scotty, Thank you for years of helping others negotiate the sometimes dishonest world of automotive repairs. You are not only knowledgable, but you have the common sense so many others lack. You have been a great mentor to us all!

Scotty, you don’t hold your hands still long enough for me to see what the product is!
  • @JacksonHalm
Scott is the man who teaches us who either didn't have a father or their father didn't know anything about cars lol. Love his videos.
  • I wish I could have Scotty check my car for any issues, he is a wealth of knowledge!!

This is my second time watching this episode. Still learning… As a teenager I should’ve gone to a tech academy. Now at age 56 I am learning so much! Being a female, I figured I’d marry a mechanic of sorts. Nope. My hubby is not mechanically inclined. So, it’s my son and I. He watches and learns online and I am the bank to use for parts. Because of you, we are in such better shape financially. Thank You for taking time out of your life to help middle class people learn how to survive in this expensive world. You are appreciated beyond adequate words for your advice and honesty. Sincerely, Lisa, Jimmy and my hubby who shall remain nameless for obvious reasons (like lack of mechanical skills and embarrassment for that reason and forgetting to check the oil often enough and other important fluids).
  • Scotty you’re the best man. Doing such a service for the regular ppl, appreciate you. Never stop, you’re a legend.

Who doesn't love this guy? I'm one of the five million viewers who consider Scotty the Gold Standard in car repair advice. Thanks SavageScotty!
  • Masterclass in troubleshooting! I love watching experts in their fields!
  • Anybody else absolutely worn out by the end of the video? Good info as always, yet I find myself needing a drink by the end.

Thank you Scotty. I used that purple max cleaner on my 2008 highlander hybrid. I kept getting pinging when accelerating coming from a stop. I was upset at my mechanic because I did a tune up recently. Then, I remembered you talking about these products. So I headed to my auto store. Spent $20 and crossed my fingers. Let me tell you within the first two minutes my engine purring like a kitty. Wow. Amazing. Amazing. Thank you thank you.
  • Scotty, you are the man, giving nothing but the best advice on all sorts of problems we encounter with vehicles.
  • @Liquidmice9
The knuckle knock to check for stability is the best. Scotty is great. He actually worked on my car twice when he lived here in Houston.
  • You have helped me and so many others to not only fix cars but remove stress and gain confidence. I hope you really accept how amazing and invaluable that is. Thank you!
  • @TeranRealtor
I have not rebuilt an engine since 1981. I am amazed to hear about the loose piston rings and not having to pound the piston in with a hammer and wood. I remember that so well!
  • hi Scotty. Over the years, I enjoyed watching your videos. Your experience and honest advice let me learn a lot. Thank you and wish you continue to share your experience with all of us.
