Hey man, thanks for the review. I am a fan of Wu Shu and was pondering about buying one of those to practise some solo drills. While the hilt being plastic was a bit of a downer, seems like the overall construction is good and the price is good for the purpose. Really useful, appeciate it!

I'm thinking of getting one in order to try and make the Master Key Sword from Tenchi Myou, obviously i'd need a different hilt, would the extending/retracable feature of the blade still work in a different hilt if i took it out?

They're asking 120 for a flimsy plastic replica of corvos blade from dishonored that's no even put together. All you'd have to do with this one was cut the blade a little to size (and make a slant) and then swap the handle out and you have an even better cosplay prop then they built, the retracting part is less cool then theirs but it's not important. If you were to learn how to flip it like corvo I'm sure it would open just like in the game THANK YOU for this video

I don't think sometimes in UK that it can't illegal to buy them from our country because the blade is not sharp but it's safe to buy them.

is the hilt replaceable with something more straightforward without all the fancy ornaments (kinda like a katana hilt)

yeah, it is, but it's an odd hard plastic sort of thing; very hard to explain with words.

So like, I ordered this sword as a gift, and when I got it in the mail, the box was half open, the box inside the box was wrapped in duck tape, the sword itself looks broken huge time, the tip of the blade is crushed and not even close to being pointed, and you need to be the hulk himself if you ever plan on closing it xD was it like this for you too when you got yours?

Yes it is and this is perfect for that cosplay, you just have to take the blade from the handle.

@tubeviewer21 HECK YES! That thing would hurt! It's not meant to cut or anything like that, but I'm more than certain you could hurt someone with this if you needed to. I wouldn't recommend it because even if you were defending yourself, you'd still spend the night in jail if you used it as a weapon against an attacker.
