Men's depression and recognising symptoms

Published 2013-04-10
The video describes recognisable patterns of men's depression, including presentations of anger and aggression, masking emotions and preoccupations with work -- all of which allow men to ignore any depressive symptoms they are experiencing.

Healthcare providers, families and friends need to be cautious of these "coping mechanisms" and recognise that the symptoms exhibited may indicate depression.

  • Everything here rights true to me. But I can't accept I am depressed. I don't feel I have anything to live for, all I ever think about is my death, but I have agood job and a good network of family and friends. I am never happy. I don't think I'm depressed,
