The songs Ethel Merman sings here are "Old Devil Sea" (music by Vernon Duke; lyric by EY "Yip" Harburg) and "Glory, Glory" (music by Johnny Green, lyric by Harburg). A couple of years after this short, Duke and Harburg would write the classic "April in Paris." Johnny Green wrote the music to several standards including "Body and Soul," "I Cover the Waterfront" and "Easy Come, Easy Go."
