As Rick Warren says in a purpose driven life, โ prayer let you speak to God. Meditation lets God speak to you.โ I am grateful that I have direct connection to speak with God, and hear his voice rather than going through others as they used to have to before he gave his Jesus as a sacrifice. One of my favorite quotes and Iโm not sure who says it is, โ never let familiarity rob you of your gratitude.โ we get to do the dishes because we have dishes to do them on. We get to be busy with kids in life because we get to have a life and kids. Itโs not easy to find gratitude, but neither was dying on the cross for Jesus and his tears of blood proof that, so today Iโm sacrificing my time for him first with gratitude. Just for today I give you my gratitude and time first help me to remember to do the same another days when Iโm not feeling you help me to always know youโre still there and to be grateful. Thank you for meditation. Dear Lord, here I am . Yes, always no matter your question. Iโll take up my cross and go.

I have just found this. Thank you Cat. This is exquisite. I am a secular buddhist, and am deeply drawn to and helped by buddhist philosophy, psychology and meditation, but recently I find myself called towards Jesus Christ and christianity.
