The fact a dude who was first off his boat during D-Day was also sat in front of peak Howard Stern is a hell of a culture clash if I’ve ever seen one. What an absolute hero he was to survive it all though.

Scotty is why I became an engineer. I didn’t even know what an engineer was as a kid watching re-runs in the ‘80s, but I just liked that he was resourceful and fixed things.

Poor James. Wish people would have given him the time to speak freely w/out interrupting him every 10 seconds. I would have loved to have sat down with him and given him the floor to share his life un-impeded for hours if not days/weeks. When you have people like James, respect them, honor them, listen to them. Give them the time to share. Not only can you have make them happy, you can learn a lot for yourself. Living history to make the future great. Sorely missed man. 😢
