In Tibet, many peaks are paved with legends and fire the imagination of millions of people.

There is one, unique in the world, that is considered sacred by both Hinduists and Buddhists: the Mount Kailash. This massive rock attracts each year pilgrims in search of beauty and absolute.

Kailash is surrounded by myths and to this day, no one has ever dared climb its 6700 meters. It is said that one trip around the mountain, by completing full body prostrations along the ground, will wipe away all the sins of one's current life.

Fascinated by this mythical mountain, Florence and Simon will take us on their 900-kilometer journey and will make the pilgrimage of their life. They are both driven by a personal quest: for Simon, it is a last homage to a loved one. For Florence, it is a true desire for change.

I am Buddhist from western Himalayas India and seeing the Documentary so much moved that rolling tears didn't stop for quite sometime. As child I heard stories of kingdom of Guge. I could see now but in such ruined condition ---- in its pristine glory this kingdom must have been so glorious --- as described by the woman that the kingdom was surrounded by 108 Monasteries, and similar number of Chortens ----- lost a great heritage ----- Thank you so much ---- hope one day Great Milarepa's spirit will call me to pay my homage to mount kailash ( Gang Rinpoche) and kingdom of guge . Thank you so much.

The Tibetans are such humble and kind hearted beings. It hurts me to see them go through this. I Pray they are relieved from their sufferings 🙏🏻 much love from India

A soul churning documentary. I love the fact that you guys made it In and out of Tibet without any trouble. Thank God for that. The beauty of my fatherland, Tibet and the sad state of my fellow Tibetans, just unbearable to take in. Makes me all emotional and leave me with a heavy heart to never forget the struggle we are fighting. Thank you for sharing your journey and experiences. May Thomas’s soul rest in eternal peace

Thank you so much for this precious documentation. As a Tibetan who lives in exile, I still remember the horror that covered my entire childhood and teenage years when I was in Tibet due to Chinese oppression. All these mountains and places are so familiar and like the memories that I want to remember also want to forget at the same time. It’s such complex emotions. Once again thank you.

China of everyone chose to occupy the most peaceful people. Tibetans in my knowledge has never used violence to justify their freedom struggle. They truly deserve Freedom if not atleast a genuine Autonomy
