  • @milopop0006
he sounded depressed when he talked about the Royals lol beat his Mets
  • I think Marc chose all the teams that beat the Phillies in their last Ws win first 😉

The white sox only lost one game during the postseason, 11-1. And also shut down the Astros in game 4 of the WS ... very very very very dominant team and what makes them sound better is that some dude from ESPN said that the white Sox will have a bad year and end up in 4th place in the AL central. Later that year in October 26, 2005. The White Sox proved everyone wrong. I still remember the tears of joy coming out of my uncle’s face when he saw the white Sox win the pennant and most importantly.. the World Series.

tbh the cubs deserved that series in 2016 but now the Indians have to win one. I feel bad they blew a 3-1 lead

I attended Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. I saw Kirk Gibson's Home Run IN PERSON! The ball bounced in the right field bleachers a few times, several folks were fighting for the ball, and in the scuffle, the ball went over the side into the visitor's bullpen in Right Field. When the A's in the bullpen realised that the game was over, the picked it up with the rest of the baseballs, not know it, and it went into the bucket with the warm up baseballs, and taken into the visiting clubhouse. My Brother and I can be seen on the tv footage on Youtube. Reserve lever, last section, halfway up, fair territory, behind the right field foul pole, we were the only 2 in the middle wearing white t-shirts. The shirts were a 1988 World Series Game 1 commemorative shirt, given to the first 20,000 kids 14 and under. I was 11, my brother was 13 at the time. Our parents sat in the Top Deck behind home plate. After the game and the tv/radio simulcast ended....nobody left! The entire stadium was clapping, stomping, and shouting "WE WANT KIRK!!!" That went on for 30 minutes! Then Kirk Gibson came back out onto the field, with a microphone, he address the whole stadium. All he said was, "Thank you very much. We're gonna win this thing. Now go home. Good night." He walked back off. Still the crowd carried on, "We Want Kirk". For another 5 or 10 minutes. Again, he came out. He was crying from the agony of pain from the hamstring. He had the mic again. He said "I fuckin' love you guys. Thank you. I'm in pain, I gotta go. Everybody be safe getting home. Now get the hell outta here. Good night." With that, nearly an hour after it was over, the crowd finally started leaving. Myself and my brother included! We went to Vero Beach Spring Training in March 1989 for Easter Weekend. There was a crowd of us trying to get Kirk's autograph. My brother and I were wearing our shirts from Game 1. We were the only 2 people that had them. Kirk was warm and kind to ALL the other kids. He saw my brother and I, and saw our shirts, and was a complete fucking dick to my brother and I. He refused us autographs, and completely ignored us deliberately. The Shortstop, Jose Gonzalez, saw this. He called my brother and I over to the team bus, as the Dodgers were playing elsewhere that day, we handed our pens and steno notepads up through the window to him, he signed them for us. Handed it back out the window to us just as the bus was leaving. Nobody else got his autograph that day. We also got an autograph from and a photo with Sandy Koufax. I still have the photo of Sandy signing my steno notepad. My brother to one side, me to the other.....he was in a road grey uniform. Day before Easter, 1989. Sadly, those 1988 WS shirts, and the steno note pads were lost over the years. Not my fault. But I still have the photo.

I love that the Red Sox than White Sox Broke their championship droughts in back to back years Edit: also as a Red Sox fan I've been really blessed to watch the team I root for win 4 chips as I grew up from a 12 year old to a man while my mom and dad had to wait until their adult lives to see them win it all

If anyone hasn’t noticed the orioles are so close to giving out 1000 total runs and the last team that let up 1000 runs in the mlb were the Cleveland spiders and that team didn’t end up very well
