This Isn't The AI Revolution Is Rotten To The Core (that is a good video go watch it) and this isn't just about the new Sora AI and ChatGPT. This is a comprehensive dive into the reality of what makes AI dangerous and how Google's Deepmind genie AI and other horrible things that might come from that content might affect society as we know it.

OpenAI's CEO looks so terrified by his own creation in these interviews it's almost uncanny
  • I mean things are already looking pretty dystopian. You and I both know which direction the people in power are going to take this whole thing.
  • Main issue for AI for me that no one is talking about, as a programmer, are the ‘model collapse’ Think of it as scanning a photo, you use the human data to copy it, but… what happens when you copy the copied photo? It loses quality, it’s been studied multiple times. Even something simple as text is prone to this No matter the quality, it just happens, degrade the model… The only known way is to set data before 2023, but then… everything will be outdated There’s many research documents on this, recommend looking it up, it’s a cool rabbit hole I went down

as someone who wants to pursue animation as a future job, AI actually terrifies me, I love animation, and would love to do it for a living, but I'm afraid by the time I'm qualified to animate in a studio my passion will be null void because AI would take my job for me. Its scary knowing your job can just be taken by AI. Personally I would wish for a world without AI, but I know that won't happen. No matter what I will never give up my dream until AI forcefully rips it out of my hands.

The bleak reality of AI kinda set in a couple months ago. One of my professors, who has decades of experience in law enforcement and subcontracting for attorneys told us that video evidence may become completely inadmissable in court. The scarier thought though, is that gap in between the actual legislation targeting AI video in court, where an AI generated video could genuinely put somebody behind bars for a significant period of time. The thought of being able to ruin someone's life with a simple prompt within the near future terrifies me to the bone.

I just hope whatever future we are going in won't allow poverty. no more poor wages, no more things we can't afford. everyone can have anything they want, but nothing can be wasted. if you get something you have to keep it for as many years as it can last at good performance. stop consumerism together with poverty and unbalanced wages.

Imagine when we get to the point where instead of talking to chat gpt we can tell it "make me a soulslike videogame with difficult but fair bosses and enemies" and it generates an entire videogame before your eyes in a matter of minutes But anyways, robot Girlfriends when?

Imagine asking Sora (when it's capable to do it) to make movies of your favourite books. How cool is that?

At first, I thought this was another AI-hate and fear-mongering video, but as I kept watching, it was well researched and showed concern and opinion from both sides, showing different aspects of this technology. The research is even better than that of some casual AI enthusiasts, but then it went downhill when you talk about “the truth," which is already covered in other parts of the video, but it went uphill again and ended with a positive, hopeful, and neutral ending. The editing of the video is also phenomenal and very engaging. Overall, it’s a great video. ❤

what makes ai dangerous is how people will use it, take this as a scenario of everybody having nuke buttons, either noone presses it or everyone presses is in hope of being last one to survive. in one way or another, humans are dangerous. ai is a tool like pencil you can make drawings but also you can go jhon wick.
  • They've said not to make ai so bad, yet we dont listen, about to make a sequel to i haveno mouth and i must scream

The inflection point arises when the default mindset flips from ' This video was most likely made by a real person' to 'this video was most likely made by AI' when this point arrives depends on how much 'critical mass' AI generated content achieves- but that it will arrive seems to me inevitable unless some foolproof way is found to clealy label generated content as AI. But there are huge sums of money being invested in this labelling not happening because those who would profit from using Gen AI intutively understand that being forced to label it would make it less appealing and effective.

I’m not the smartest person in the world, but I always knew AI was a bad idea, so apparently I’m the smartest person in the world
