The Eschaton in Zacchaeus - Travis Drum (2024 Conference)

Published 2024-05-01
A quaint story about a little man's experience with Jesus? Or can so much more be gleaned from the pieces mentioned here?

This lecture was presented at the 2024 Spring Bible Conference held by Berean Bible Church each year in late April. Keep an eye on our main website for details, and/or sign up to our mailing list to get updates when the conference gets close.

I've always loved the story of Zacheus and thought I knew the story... but now I love it even more. Thank you for this study!

This is one of the best sermons I’ve heard, & I’ve heard a few in my almost 68 years
  • Good word Travis, I have pulled back some online comments after reflection. There is One Lord, One Faith and One Body of Christ. My dear children, love one another. Strength and prayers, Love br. David - Canada.

Absolutely beautiful. Man, it's crazy how we read these accounts over and over again in such a haphazard way and gloss right over the most profound things. The one sentence about "staying" or "abiding" in his house was pure gold. This is the ultimate promise.

Good word. Helped me reflect on my approach to sharing the truth with my fellow believers in Christ. It’s hard. But In love I guess it sought of becomes easier coz the tone changes and makes a big difference.
  • Absolutely needed message. I have a good friend who has told me more than once that she can see how people get to preterism, but that she would never want to be a part of the community because of how hateful preterists are to each other.

When reading the story of Zachaeus I often wondered how a thief who made all his wealth from stealing could get that extra wealth needed to pay back 4 times. Perhaps he also had legitimate businesses? Good message, thanks Travis.
