Interesting parallel, but the MC and Yoko can be a similar parallel to Adam and Eve. Eve Convinced Adam to eat the fruit of knowledge with her and Yoko convinced the MC to rebirth the world anew. Hell the end credits the both of them are sitting under a tree with a snake observing like a new world Adam and Eve.

This ending would make a lot more sense in a setting like SMT IV, where the entire world's population are either inhabitants of a lightless underground hellhole or medieval citizens of Mikado possessing a "demonic gene" that'd make them turn into malevolent demons under the wrong circumstances. I could generally see the appeal in just returning everything to primordial chaos (as opposed to literal nothing a la the White) to let the world, humanity, and demonkind start anew, without any Creator God to ruin things. As things are here, though, it's not really clear why Yoko's desire for freedom from the system (after you've already freed her and Tao has shown her the better parts of humanity) goes so far as to want to revert the world to chaos, despite the fact that the world is pretty normal by our standards and not really irreversibly fucked up, or why she's so insistent that starting from scratch would get us anywhere better, since, again, the world overall isn't even all that screwed up. It's a very SMT-esque ending but it really just feels like it's in the wrong game. (Beating up Mastema is reason enough to go for it, though.) EDIT: Having thought on it a bit more, the ending makes a bit more sense if you take into account Yoko's statement that the only reason hierarchy exists is because of humans following the Horned God/Marduk's example, thus making her solution a bit more viable for creating a free world (reverting the world to a state pre-Marduk and thus pre-hierarchy), though this still doesn't really address the doubts Yoko mentions having prior to your final battle with her. It does become a bit more interesting with this in mind, though; Yoko's pessimistic view on humanity's current state leads into an idealistic belief that, if we start over again, things can be better. It also bears mentioning that dialogue was cut from Tao's ending which stated that a world where everybody's wishes granted would caused some amount of turmoil and conflict due to people wanting contradictory things, which can still be inferred on your own but isn't really discussed in-universe; at most, we get Yoko's perspective that humanity will never be happy under a ruler.

Bro this is most BLATANT Adam and Eve symbolism I’ve ever seen they literally holding hands NEXT TO A TREE WITH A SNAKE
  • @user-rc2ww7hh6i
So basically the reason to pick this ending over what is probably the most positive ending in the franchise is if your a Yoko simp

Deimn Romance Ending, and Mastema Doing His Job again 😂
  • So Law route gets Tehom, who is the freaking ABYSS of all things, and Chaos gets....Mastema.
  • @bilboborbins
So im just going to throw this out here but I kind of find it funny that in this route Lucifer is suprised by the Nahobinos actions of utterly destroying the whole universe and it was not his intention for the Nahobino to disrupt the death and rebirth cycle. cause I was under the impression that SMT V Lucifer is the same Lucifer from SMT 3 True demon ending (one that was successful in killing god with the demi-fiend after they disrupted the death and rebirth of their universe) is he not?
  • @BigBrotherGnE
I know the game just released, but surprised no one has unlocked the Rule 34 Route.
  • @quinx9975
really wish tao was a boss fight. she was literally ready to fight you until mastema showed up lol.
  • @hungrytaco6879
So in the law ending everyone’s happy, but in chaos we get a girlfriend ?
  • I can see that the only reason you would go this path is to just unlock demons locked on this path.
  • @Lithiel
Ah, the symbolism and the irony of 2 humans (male ad female) with a Tree with Fruit, and a snake in it- isn't lost on me with this. XD you sure you guys got what you wanted? I know a book that started just like this-...
