  • My comments: 🇦🇱 I got a soft spot for Albania xd. Even this year when they decided to sing in English, I somehow love the revamp, even if the lyrics are cheesy. The verses are captivating, the chorus is sing along-friendly and her vocals are serving. However it has no chance in the competition. 🇦🇲 I’m sorry, but this sounds like they told AI to make an ethnic Armenian Eurovision song. This is a proof that also ethnic songs can be basic. For me it is annoying and way too cheerful. 🇦🇺 Underrated. I loved them in 2019 and I actually like this song even more. Such a feel good-song with engaging artists. I really want this to qualify, but I see the possibility of flopping. 🇦🇹 Such a boring song. It’s not even retro, just dated. Yet catchy. So tired of Linnea and Joy’s songs now. She’s amazing though, so I think it will qualify, but end up at the bottom of the final. 🇦🇿 I was afraid they would go back to send Swedish crap after last year’s flop, but no! They send a song in the Azeri language for the first time ever! That’s amazing! This song is not however. The song feels like a slow bridge to the first chorus… through the entire three minutes. 🇧🇪 This has the same fantastic element as the other Dumoulin-songs, but this time they send an experienced singer. I actually think this could do a Loreen. I’m pretty certain he could win the jury voting. If Baby Lasagna flops hard in the televotes this could be the winner. There’s something wrong if he isn’t in top 5. First I thought it’s kinda too slow and the ending repetitive, but now the last chorus hits me every time and I burst out crying. 🇭🇷 This won’t win. It’s too similar to Käärijä and will do worse than him. The juries will not be impressed by this and even though he will win the televote, they can’t be higher than Käärijä’s, because there are so many other televote-friendly songs this year: Ukraine, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia and maybe Israel. Croatia will however reach their best result ever and deservedly. Extremely catchy, fun, engaging and charismatic. 🇨🇾 Cyprus is a small country and Silia is very young, so you have my understanding. However this is really underwhelming and average. 🇨🇿 Basic and the chorus sounds a bit childish to me, but somehow quite catchy. I’m afraid it will end up last in the semi though… 🇩🇰 Best effort in years, but it’s still low-effort. Melodifestivalen-left overs. She’s doing a good job, but Denmark why are you even competing these days, when you care so little? 🇪🇪 I’ve longed for the Estonian language to be back. This wasn’t what I wished for, but I gotta admit it’s really fun and catchy! 🇫🇮 It pains me to admit that this is fun and catchy. But this was the worst move we could do this year, when half of the countries try to be outrageous/experimental. Sara was my favourite in UMK and this was my last place, but unpopular opinion: no one else in UMK could do better in ESC than Windows95Man. 🇫🇷 I have no idea why they published it half a year ago. This has really bored me out. I think it will come alive live because he sings like an angel, but as a song this is cheesy and dated. 🇬🇪 They are borderline qualifier this year too. I think they will make it. Because she seems to be an amazing performer. This could even be a potential dark horse. But the song itself is quite hard to grasp. It’s catchy yet forgettable. 🇩🇪 He is “nothing but the average”. Germany is seriously ending up last for a third year in a row with another 0 points from the televotes. Although the verses are kinda catchy, the chorus is really boring and forgettable. He doesn’t stand out in any way either. He has a simple name, but still I keep forgetting it. 🇬🇷 This year’s In corpore sano and Shum. It’s strange and partly ear-bleeding, but mesmerizing and catchy! 🇮🇸 She’s sweet, but the song in 2010 was weak and dated, then what do you expect from 2024? She’s going to end up last with dignity and class at least. 🇮🇪 At least they take a risk this year, but it is really hard to get. It will end up like Telemoveis – a song that some fans love, but most people think it’s nonsense noise. 🇮🇱 Even though I don’t agree with the country participating, I understand the decision from the EBU. I find it ridiculous how many fans can’t rank this entry fairly however. Aren’t you the ones always blaming politics playing a huge role in Eurovision? I like this average song and her vocals. I hear that the lyrics are just there to fill out the message they intended to sing, which takes me a bit off. 🇮🇹 Overrated. She’s a great performer and the song is good. The ending is really epic. Otherwise it sounds a bit overdone and childish, but it has grown on me. Still don’t think it will be in top 5. 🇱🇻 Underrated. His lack of charisma and presence are a vital part why this isn’t expected to do well. If they get that fixed for the live performance they will qualify, because it’s a solid and captivating ballad. 🇱🇹 I absolutely love this. He isn’t the best singer, but this song doesn’t need amazing vocals. He wins on being so present and intimate and living his life on that stage. Malmö will explode! I never knew Lithuanian was this sexy, but Monika and Silvester have really changed my view on the language xd. And the song is simply amazing; modern, mysterical, captivating and badass. 🇱🇺 Quite a boring song, but a good performer. I’m so happy Luxembourg is back, but I don’t think they should do a national final next year. 🇲🇹 I can’t decide if this will end up last in semi or top 3. She’s amazing, but the song is just a fill-out. The revamp improved a lot, but still it’s not SloMo or Unicorn. But remember that people disliked those songs as well! I think being first in the second semifinal actually could help. 🇲🇩 My guilty pleasure! I love Moldova moldoving yet another year! This is so extremely bad and Eastern European that it becomes really catchy. Out of all songs this year, the tu-du-du-du-chorus is the one that has been most frequently repeated in my head. And the dead performance is just the chef's kiss. There’s no way this won’t qualify from that weak semi-final. 🇳🇱 Finally the Netherlands understood that they need to stop repeating themselves! This was exactly what we needed. What a banger! Joost is doing everything that Finland tried to do, but better. And I love that he sings a love song to Europe in Dutch and not in a little English, French, Italian, Spanish and German that has been done a hundred times before. 🇳🇴 The best Norwegian entry since Margaret Berger. They’ve done it again. And wow! This really has everything. It’s like an even older yet more modern version of Nocturne – one of the best songs ever. Norwegian is one of the most beautiful languages ever. The ending is so intense I cry every time. 🇵🇱 I think this will work well live. It is a solid pop song sung by a professional and likable artist. As a song I couldn’t care less. 🇵🇹 Hopefully I find the beauty in this some day, but as for now this is extremely boring. 🇸🇲 Arcadia was better, but still an okay song. They are great live, but they stand no chance. 🇷🇸 Beautiful and boring. This will struggle to qualify. 🇸🇮 I trust Slovenia that this will be epic live, because it has all Eurovision potentials. As a studio cut it doesn’t bother me that much though. 🇪🇸 This is fantastic! The chorus and vocals are quite weak, but it doesn’t matter when the verses are this catchy, the singer this likable and the lyrics and message this incredible. I think the Sam Smith-dancers are just to provoke and to appeal to the fans, but that kinda destroys the message. Can we have two Dolly Partons instead? 🇸🇪 Another solid and catchy pop song from Sweden (or Norway). I love that Norway is way better than Marcus and Martinus this year xd. I have many issues with the lyrics, mainly because two siblings are singing about their fierce FwB. Eeeew. I’m also surprised Sweden just took Benjamin Ingrosso’s staging, doubled it and turned them vertically instead. And we all remember how that went. I think this will do similarly, except the juries won’t love it either. I predict another 14th place. 🇨🇭 I see this being a compromise-winner. They’re probably the best singer this year with a unique song. There’s still something missing, but maybe it will all make sense live. 🇺🇦 They’ve done it again. Really touching, modern, unique and catchy. I love how smoothly the rap parts fit. It feels like they are only singing two minutes, but no they use their full three minutes. That’s how amazing they are. 🇬🇧 Expected a lot more. King could be an ESC-winner, but this isn’t even close. He’s fantastic so he will probably save it, but still no top 10 for the Uk unfortunately.
