Want more legroom? The much improved Grand Highlander fits the bill for the Larger SUV segment. Much larger with the Grand Highlander having more cargo space.

The 2024 Grand Highlander is a new addition to Toyota's lineup, and it's noticeably larger than the standard Highlander. Key differences include:

Size: The Grand Highlander is taller, wider, and has a longer wheelbase, offering more presence on the road.
Storage: With over 13 cubic feet more storage space, the Grand Highlander provides more room for cargo.
Third-Row Seating: The Grand Highlander has more accessible and comfortable third-row seating, particularly for larger individuals, compared to the cramped space in the standard Highlander.
Engine: The Grand Highlander features a V6 with 295 horsepower, slightly more robust than the regular Highlander.
Overall, the Grand Highlander appears to be a more spacious and powerful option, suitable for those in need of extra room and presence.

We review the difference between the Highlander vs the Grand Highlander. Is it better?

If you’re tested out Highlander platinum you would’ve seen how much more comfortable it is

Excellent review. I agree, the Grand Highlander seems like the better choice.

It depend what you need, if your a family of 4, just go with the standard highlander but if your family of 5 or 6, you be better off with grand highlander, its like chevy Tahoe vs chevy Suburban or Plymouth Voyager vs Grand Voyager.

Clearly, this is a anti-highlander pro grand highlander video. Anyone 6 foot 4, cannot sit in the third row of any vehicle. And the 23 highlander platinum edition is total luxury! Not everyone needs a large SUV, that was not taken into consideration. Finally, the reviewer might want to do some research that Toyotas are extremely, extremely reliable vehicles.

The seats moved In two inches or so makes a difference in damage a person takes in side impacts.

Priced exactly and purposefully so consumers will think like that. Just a thousand more for the more benefits.

We have a 2022 Highlander Platinum Hybrid. We will upgrade to the 2024 or 2025 Grand Highlander Platinum Hybrid Max. The extra towing capacity and extra room is what sold us.

I am considering the 2023 Highlander Hybrid and the Grand Highlander, and am concerned about the driver seat comfort and leg width room. You mentioned in the Highlander you found your right knee bumping into the center console and that your left elbow couldn't rest against the door. How does it compare to the GH, do you find that you could rest your left elbow on the driver's side door, and do you find that your right knee keeps bumping into the center console? I'm 5'11" with legs probably on the wider side. In comparison I sat in a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid and my right knee was jammed up against the center console with no room to move, very uncomfortable and a deal breaker. Your thoughts appreciated, thanks.

Could you also do a comparison video of Highlander grand with Lexus TX/GX/LX which ever is the matching size?

Thanks for making this video. I checked out the Grand Highlander last week, and at 6' 1", when I set the driver's seat to be comfortable for me, I had virtually no legroom sitting in the 2nd row behind myself. And at 6' 6", I would think you really had to compromise your driving position to allow room for you to fit behind yourself. Can you talk about that at all?

Some of us don’t want a bigger one. I love the size of my 17 highlander. The grand wouldn’t fit in my garage! But the regular highlander is now completely outdated on the exterior. Needs a big time update.
  • Turbo has a lower resale value and high maintenance rate Best engine is V6 naturally aspirated Best look XSE 2021 model

I have a 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE ordered. I am 6' 2" tall and will be taking it on long road trips. I did notice, when test driving, that the driver legroom wasn't as large as I expected it to be with the seat all the way back. Did you have any issues as a tall driver in this area, seeing as how you are 6’ 4” tall?

Grand tows more than the sienna. Looks way better than the sienna. Grand looks like rav4 but has way more space.
