A lot of people don't seem to realize Terry chose to tumble down the stairs, as you can plainly see him calculating his trajectory, and since he wound up downstairs more than once, he clearly is heading to the kitchen to get a snack.

A lot of people don't seem to realize that turtles shell has their spine and rib cage and other internal organs in it. They have pain receptors in their shell this is really know different then if you tumbled down the stairs.
