ABOUT A TO ZEN LIFE
Along my journey to let go of 30 years of clutter, I accidentally became a minimalist and it was life-changing.

Before, I was an emotional hoarder with nothing but the clutter from lost loved ones — and $25,000 of debt — to my name. Now I have a beautiful home in Europe, a happy family, live debt-free, and — best of all — wake up to a life that I’m EXCITED to live every day.

My mission is to help you conquer your clutter and simplify YOUR way to a happier and better life. HERE'S OUR STORY: atozenlife.com/about-a-to-zen-life/

Do you agree or disagree that we all have the same 24 hours in a day? 🤔 Please give this video a like + comment below to share your thoughts!

I don't think we all have the same 24 hours a day. Someone with a full time job, plus a family of their own, plus a caregiver for elderly family member truly does not have much time to themselves. Same goes for those with chronic illnesses.

I like the batch idea and also use it for my cleaning. I used to pick one room at a time to focus on for a deep clean but you have to get a bunch of stuff out so now I batch chore. I deep clean both bathrooms at the same time, I change all the sheets the same day.If I see the light switch plate next to the garage needs cleaning I make a quick pass through the house and wipe every one.
  • We use a paper calendar for our family’s appointments as we are a single car family. Whoever ‘books’ the car first usually gets it and if there are conflicts we work out compromises. We live in the country and so cannot walk or bike to town. We also look at the calendar in the morning and before bed so we can plan our days. It is our ‘command center’ and works well for us.⏰

awh, yes mommy-busy in no joke. i habit stacked exercise in to get movement in throughout the day. for example, i do sit-ups while my coffee brews & some wall push ups after i brush my teeth, that sort of thing. i link the movement to something non-negotiable! ☕️☕️☕️
  • Amen to Mom busy. Even when they are grown. Also I’m glad I’m not the only one that has to set multiple alarms to remember everything, love all the tips and your videos keep them coming.

⏳️ having kids or even pets in your house definitely changes what you end up doing with your time. Thanks for your tips, I appreciate what you do 😃
  • I still use paper lists because I like writing and the art of crossing off. I do have a lot more time but now fight feeling lazy…
  • @karlyp3920
Batching tasks together helps so much!!! I try to do this as much as possible
  • Love these tips. I remember having a full-time job (with long commutes each way), going to college, and raising 2 kids all at the same time. I was really productive with my time back then and somehow had time every Sunday for fun family activities. It’s funny that after graduating college, I seem to have less free time and things became more hectic.

I am 70 yrs young and still have not mastered this, but I keep on trying😎
  • Mom busy....so true, but I love it! I'm old school with my paper planner and daily lists. It keeps me organized and helps me motivated and focused. Who doesn't love checking something off?!
  • @TheSunnySA
Yes! Nothing like mom (plus teacher!) busy!!!
  • @l.m.n.2338
Off topic but do happy to see the wood cabinetry still intact! It’s beautiful and classic.
  • @skimusic3773
Thank you for the koala on the chair! It's the little human moments that make it easier to relate to someone who, despite disclaimers, seems to have a "perfect" life.
  • I really liked this video, Marissa. Please, more of this ❤ and you made it short and simple, I loved it
  • These are GREAT ideas; many of which I use and they are indeed fantastic time management ideas.
  • Agree - I took my granddaughter swimming and she went to the pool edge and sat down. I was laying out our towels, and taking off my cover up and she called out to me in front of everyone "Mimi, put down your phone, it's time to swim!" (she was 4 years old) Applause erupted around the deck of the pool and I realized, she was right! No more phones when I am with my family - ever!!
