Fenn Treasure Recap

Publicado 2017-09-20
Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #161!
Recap of my search this past summer for the Fenn Treasure....at the start of this I was only half serious about searching; I was more about having a good time in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my sis. But part way through our search, I got the bug....and I will definitely do more research and come back next year!!!

When I first bought my truck in 2004 I named her Sacajawea after my favorite female in American history. I had a fascination with Lewis and Clark and fancied myself an explorer too. So when I decided where my first road-trip should be, I picked Yellowstone. So when planning my route I looked at a map of Wyoming and was drawn to an area around Thermopolis because I love hot springs. So I headed into Wyoming from the south through Rock Springs and drove into Fort Washakie. When I went into a trading post they informed, unbeknownst to me, that Sacajawea was buried right up in their local cemetery. So I went up there and found her gravesite. Talk about serendipity!
  • So close! I was a top searcher who knew Forrest well. His words are used meticulously. "If you don't know where to begin, you might as well stay home and play canasta". In a story out of TTOTC , Forrest had a ball of string in his bedroom that wouldn't fit through the door. When he got home it was gone and his mom was looking out the window for the postman. Inner twine and letter carrier. Carry the "t" in water to get watters....or, power lines. There are also water tanks in Petacas, north of Ojo. Be-Gin.... Tanqueray, or, an array of tanks. Petacas A tank is an anagram of "canasta". From there it leads to La Madera, or "The Wood" in Spanish . "If you've (uv) been wise(owl-night) and found the blaze......look quickly down your quest 2 C's (calcite crystals) they glow red and the ground glows from all the pieces. The story of tea with Olga has to do with the proper tea AND the property. Funny the side road is T-42, or is it two for tea?

Hats off to you for the amount of time you spent editing this video. It must have taken a long time to get it all done, editing in all of the wonderful bits and pieces along the way.
  • Wonder Hussy, you are AMAZING! ...and so are your videos. I enjoy watching you more than ever after watching this one. Keep 'em coming! You are better than anything on prime time television and very inspiring!
  • She should be on Travel Chanel, or Destination Chanel. Real god work, interesting places, personal touch, so not afraid to to be herself. She would be a huge hit on the other programs. And superior eye candy.

The singing in the car and the song selections were well done! Added a nice touch to the video! I'm just now catching up on all of your videos from past 2-3 months

Greetings from the UK! I can picture Sarah fronting a band, covering everything from Motown to the Bakersfield sound and all points in between. Sarah and the Vegas 5 has a ring to it!

LMFAO!!! I was laughing out loud watching you singing along to the music. Among all of the other great things you are, you're quite the entertainer. So glad you made a bazillion YouTube videos so that I can binge watch to my hearts content. Keep them coming!

Tenacious gal, I'd give her that. But someone else beat her to it! Singing along with those Sirius/XM channels songs , just priceless! The Sirius music was free when the 4 Runner vehicle was purchased but for one year only BTW.

A great story! I suspect that people don't know just how much editing went into this. The audio is excellent - you matched audio from live sync to voice over with no change in eq or room tone, several times and that's not easy. The addition of sfx here and there was really good. Loved the time lapse segments going down the road, the perfect thing to tighten things up. The use of quick dissolves between jump cuts really smoothed things out. The music montage is brilliant. I'm really surprised that the youtube police let you by, the duration of each piece must be under 10 seconds. Hundreds and hundreds of edits, many with fancy split audio / video. The whole of the edit decisions really flow and make this story a quick 25 minutes. Sarah, I pronounce you a professional editor! Nice to see your subscriber count quickly climbing. You'll be at 30k in no time to be getting a better chunk of the youtube funk. All the best... PS - My intuition said from the start that Taos with it's long time great art scene might relate somehow to the treasure... good luck!

I gave you a thumbs up just for the beautiful leg flash at the the beginning of the clip.

Excellent video Hussy. The karaoke was really cool and beautiful country. One of my favorite videos.
  • I should have gone farther back in the timeline earlier! Your rock on and singalong is great to watch. Something that makes it even better is you bopping to the music and hearing you sing where you try to make it fun. I’ve heard from later videos how well you can actually sing so this is just fun for you… and for us. It’s just amazing how many styles and looks you pull off without a hitch. Girl next door to rock star! I’ve seen your varied costumes but not the whole wearing of them. Hope I get a chance to see you in all of them. Makes me want to sing backup while riding shotgun. Hopefully some day in the future.😉🙏❤️😎
