I will never hear vent, emergency meeting, task, crewmate, impostor, vote, ejected or absolutely anything remotely related to among us in my life without having flashbacks.

GEN Z Update 14.17.8 patch notes: - Nerfed "Ratio" - Nerfed "Mommy" - Nerfed "Daddy" - Nerfed "Mid" - Nerfed "Slay" - Nerfed "Ussy" - Nerfed "Literally" - Added new synonyms to previous words. - Added a new slandering system
  • Now imagine, 25 years from now, some kid is gonna wonder why his dad is silently laughing when the priest at grandma’s funeral says, ”her soul is now among us.”
  • @servingcant
I knew we were doomed when Gen z called an tear duct an eye clit.
  • @Mr.Sa33
I feel like the word “Bruh” is a word that people will never stop using.
  • I'm noticing a trend with these. Most of them were ruined by TikTok and Twitter, two platforms that have regressed our society back 1000 years
  • @kgchayanmih
As a gen z who doesn't use tik tok or Twitter,I'm still ashamed by the sheer amount of speed our society is moving backwards
  • Thank you so much for this! I would add the term “projecting” to this list. Whenever someone can’t think of a comeback or snarky reply they’ll just say something like “you’re projecting” when they clearly don’t know what projection is…they’re really just saying “takes one to know one” or “I’m rubber you’re glue whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you” in a way that they think makes themselves sound intelligent.
  • @Gamingred
The words mommy and daddy went from a wholesome word that everyone could use to something so sus that whenever someone actually uses it the right way, people look at you strange and think you are weird
  • @ns33333
The fact that we changed the word "Literally", literally BLOWS MY MIND đź’Ą
  • @Sclaraidus
Another word I'd like to add to the list would be "aesthetic." The word was originally used to describe how something looks. But then the word progressively got ruined by Tumblr, Twitter, and even TikTok folks. Now I can't even comment about somethings design without people thinking I'm one of those emos who look up "aesthetic wallpapers" on Twitter every few minutes.
  • as a gen z person, i agree that there is an immense lack of grammatical sense within gen z
  • The word moan used to be a description word for a depressing and horrifying expression sound, usually from ghosts now means a very suspicious word that means much worse now.

6:10 thank you so much for mentioning this. It is the single most annoying thing when someone uses the word "literrally" when the thing they said could not be interpreted as figuritively. for example, if animals were falling out of the sky and someone were to say:"it's litereally raining cats and dogs." then that would make sense because "raining cats and dogs" is a figurative expression to say it is raining hard. but when people say someting like:"I was literally playing a game" It wouldn't be nessecary, although technically acrurate. bottom line: YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY LITERALLY, UNLESS YOU ARE SPECIFYING SOMETHING.
  • You can't even say you're "thirsty" anymore, you gotta say you're dehydrated
  • @MrNTF-vi2qc
Fun fact: Back in the REALLY ancient times, NPC meant an enemy in a video game you fought against that was computer controlled.
  • A “crib” is a bed for babies and toddlers, but nowadays, “crib” means home
  • @slidersides
The word cringe is overused because sometimes there are things that aren’t actually cringe
  • @_OrQ
I’m not surprised that GenZ ruined words.
