  • A kid, around the age of 8-9, requesting So Far Away.... Bless his soul, and his parents for letting him into A7X

"We'll just play the first verse" played the whole f*cking song. What a legend
  • This is honestly the best “unplugged” session I’ve ever heard. No auto tune. No electric instruments. Just pure talent, professional ability, and soul.
  • @RisingMetalDemon
Matt's an absolute mad lad hitting those notes sitting down in an acoustic unplugged environment, maintaining the grit and with no hesitation.
  • "This is gonna be so bad." Proceeds to put on an epic performance.

I used to sing this song with my brother on repeat. He died last year and this part hits so hard "Plans of what our futures hold, foolish lies of growing old. It seems we're so invincible, but the truth is so cold. Now and then i try to find, a place in my mind. Where you can stay, you can stay away forever." He was 29 years old and just got married couple months before. I keep coming back to this song and thinking about him. It always ends up with me in tears, but it helps.
  • So Far Away lyrics Never feared for anything Never shamed but never free A life to heal the broken heart with all that it could Lived a life so endlessly Saw beyond what others see I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could Will you stay? Will you stay away forever? How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Plans of what our futures hold Foolish lies of growing old It seems we're so invincible The truth is so cold A final song, a last request A perfect chapter laid to rest Now and then I try to find A place in my mind Where you can stay You can stay away forever How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Sleep tight, I'm not afraid (not afraid) The ones that we love are here with me Lay away a place for me (place for me) 'Cause as soon as I'm done I'll be on my way To live eternally How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind And the light you left remains But it's so hard to stay When I have so much to say and you're so far away I love you, you were ready The pain is strong and urges rise But I'll see you, when He lets me Your pain is gone, your hands untied So far away (so far) And I need you to know So far away (so far) And I need you to, need you to know

Can’t wait for that kid to grow up and say “that was me” in the comment section...

Playing to the youngest person in the crowd is how rock/metal will live forever.
  • @BrooklynTalent
The note Syn hits precisely at the @5:46 mark adds so much friggin hurt and soul to the solo. This live performance is beautiful
  • @Ghost-hl7hy
"That's for you, buddy" How humble they are. The Legend!
  • @mykeechoes
"This is gonna be so bad" goes on to sing the best version there is.
  • @Natenator77
Gates is such an underrated backing vocalist. Those "ooohs" were heavenly!
  • @ianwijaya9265
I love when Matt smile at Syn in 4:03 it's so wholesome and the fact that he realizes how good Syn is on the guitar makes this moment feels more wholesome
  • @sirgog
6:00 I keep coming back to this part, the extra note is perfect
  • @jeetpaul4499
Matt : "This is gonna be so bad" Sings beautifully
  • I’m blown away by Matt’s vocal abilities. That’s some crazy control.
