I have only a comparison to my old Ryobi abrasive saw. The Dewalt is well built - quieter and very accurate/straight cuts compared to the Ryobi if that can be a fair comparison, but not really - apples to oranges if you ask me. The Ryobi did a good job and served its purpose for the few small projects I did but cuts where always having to be cleaned up and made straight because of the flex in the blade which is inherent to abrasive blades and their flex. How good this carbide blade is, only time will tell but I am cutting slow to make it last -- I will look into other blades for replacement and get an extra one to have while I get this one sharpened.
Over all, very happy with this saw (price and function). Amazon, did a great job letting me return a blade that I thought was a complete saw. They gave me a refund towards this saw and the return shipping cost was on their bill -- great service for my mistake!
Got the saw on sale for 399.00 -- as of this posting it is now going for 750, so wait for a sale again!
Cheers, Patrick

A " Toothedm " blade instead of an abrasive on metal ( other than alum ) ?

Is there a chip tray underneath and did you consider the Evo380 before you purchased your Dewalt?
