They likely will be using the new battery technology in development that will extend range, faster charging times and run cooler.
  • How do you plan to make them efficient. And i mean 1000 to be 1500 miles per charge to make them a real work tool and not just a toy. How about the isolation of the magnetic fields, the cost effective tag and the possible comparison to the NIKOLA electric Semi?

What is the Tesla Semi's body made of ? Aluminium would be light but way too soft and delicate for a truck. Steel is heavier but must be pained. Last is stainless steel which is also heavy but impervious to weather but difficult to work with - it can't be pressed and the Tesla Semi has lots of curvy panels. In the beginning all Tesla Semis were buffed stainless steel but now they are painted white, red or Pepsi livery.

This video repeats misinformation from another source. The 'chassis' are ocean container trailers.
  • Yeah this is all click bait. They are getting rid of peope slowing down production and yet you recon his doing this. All lies for views and stock pumping.

The significant weight of the batteries in electric trucks presents a limitation on their overall cargo capacity. Due to this, these vehicles may end up primarily transporting the weight of their own batteries, which, in turn, reduces the available capacity for carrying goods and materials. This aspect may need to be addressed in the design and development of electric trucks to optimize their efficiency in transporting cargo.

EV sales are falling...WHY? How are we going to save the planet?

The Tesla Semi is ready to ramp, along with Cybertruck, as Tesla increases margins and cuts costs. Does nobody understand that Elon is producing this semi for his own "X" enterprises, which consists of one of the world's largest trucking fleets? Does anyone understand that every semi Tesla produces drops their own operating costs? Few recognize the 'tonnage' of materials from 'dirt-to-delivery' for the operations of Tesla and SpaceX. So, whether Pepsi or any client buys Tesla's semi, Tesla's internal demand will only rise as the EV and Starship production grows. Logistics and supply-chains are crucial to the success of any manufacturer, and the Tesla semi is targeting Tesla's bottom line; cheaper transportation, and driving diesel in the dirt.
  • No way would I go into years of debt to buy something that has a limited lifespan when I can drive an ICE vehicle for many more years as long as I maintain it properly. I bought my home for less than an EV costs. My present vehicle is a Honda Odyssey that will likely last the rest of my life. I can drive across the country without worrying about finding chargers. Battery technology simply isn't green in any way so EVs are basically a lie. But the world seems to be dead set on reaching net zero intelligence.
  • More EV useless crap, wonder how long before they start braking down and needing an ICE tow truck to save them.
