Growing up, Joyce saw herself constantly questioning her value in life, and took blow after blow about her image and perception of self. From fights at home to bullying in school, there was rarely a break from judgement, internal warfare, and onslaughts of self-deprecation. In a moment of revelation and truth, Joyce shares about how she came to her sudden desire for introspection, and how she uncovered the root of why she was so unhappy when she was younger.⁣

Having to hurriedly plaster up walls and facades to suit the expectations of others, she was now hoping to undo all of that — and find her true self. She also reveals that the secret behind attaining true security isn't tackling all of your insecurities head-on, trying to patch up the holes and the gaps that you try to hide away from people, no —⁣ it's really about freeing yourself.
