Janey, I have gophers in my yard. I am in Southern Ca. They love supertunia's and nasturtiums. They do not touch my lavender or citranella geraniums. I do not want to kill them. I figure they are hungry too just like us. I can still grow a garden. They are not all over the garden. I see mounds here and there. I am experienting with my newly planted supertunias. I used a can from the garden center, cut holes in it, planted the supertunia in it and buried it in the ground. Only time will tell if this works. There are natural things you can do to deter them from your garden, like peppermmint essential oil, and coffee grounds. They hate the smell, and they hate the smell of strong smelling plants. I have onions in my raised beds, and they have left them alone. Love your garden, and all your videos!

I do a lot of winter sowing and use Kathy's wading pool idea to water my milk jug seedling containers during a dry spell. So much easier than trying to water through the small opening in the top of the jugs. This is also a great idea for your patio plants for when you go on vacation. Makes it easier for whoever is babysitting your plants. That rooster always cracks me up!

It’s crazy to think that this friendship formed all because your lisianthus died and Robbie had a few to spare! Love it when you guys are together!

Okay, that does it! Robbie must join the coffee chat every Saturday, LOL! This was such a fun video! I wish I could take the credit for the "Kathy" comment, but alas, I am a different "Kathy." Her idea about the kiddie pool really is genius, although I must admit that I was doing the same thing on a smaller scale with my tomato seedlings (all 36 of them), but using a plastic dishpan. Works really well! 😄💐
