I did always think that old lady somehow breaking through the barricade and letting the zombies in with no one being able to stop her was a bit silly even for this series.

Here to help you out. Hope your channel recover from the hacking incident
  • 7:07 I feel like Resident Evil needed to make it's protagonists badasses for 2 reasons 1. The Predator effect (Predator the movie) in which the main characters are highly trained soldiers who normally would whoop 20 types of ass but when meet with the enemy are just as helpless as regular people, highlighting the threat the enemy poses. 2. The Umbrella Corporation cooks up a lot more than zombies, which no normal person even with the arsenal Frank has could fight against, thus having soldiers and cops makes it more believable they could survive the various monsters as opposed to just Zombies and crazy people.

I could literally see the framework of Dead Rising through the Shadow of Rome footage. That's insane
  • I met Frank West for the first time playing ProjectXZone. Despite it being a massive crossover game and so the cast had to be flanderized a bit to stand out amongst their counterparts, i liked Franks character. He was this well balanced mixture of professionalism and goofiness that always took critical situations seriously, but in less serious moments provided a good amount of comedy. It also helped that his partner in battle was Lei Lei/Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers, which is both ironic and practical for him.^^

Don't forget about the banger sound track too. But great vid.

Honestly I always love that you have to manage your time in order to do certain story events, which works very well with Frank since he is a journalist and his objective is to know what’s fully going on and is willing to risk his life and time to get the answers he seek.😺

Dead Rising was one of the first games we rented for a sleepover at a friend's place who had a 360. But not an HD TV. The text was IMPOSSIBLE to read in the early games on SD, for sure. Finally switching to HD? Wowee zowee, I cried.

The editing has improved. Was not expecting that zombie attack on you.
  • @destructor3152
I always had trouble with the convicts when I played the game years ago.

No joke, Dead Rising was like one of the first games that I remember watching on YouTube back in the early 2010s. It's how I came across TheRadBrad, one of the longest standing YouTube channels that I've subscribed to.

13:36 That’s good to know, Kamen. I’m sure no one will take this clip out of context 😆

Capcom Needs to bring Dead Rising Back from the Dead (AYEEEEEE) I have The first game along with 2 and Off The record This series is too fun
  • The way you mention how many ways people can engage with Dead Rising for the story or gameplay also calls out the freedom Dead Rising gives you from the start! You can grind up a main-storyless playthrough and then suddenly just choose to start over with all stats you gained carried over to make the playthrough where you choose to engage in the story, using all the skills, stats, and knowledge that you learned from the last playthrough where you just screwed around! More engaging and have more tools at your disposal The feature to just do an early New Game+ allowed me to make rescuing survivors much more fun (Spinning Lariat is the GOAT)
  • After being traumataized by the sight of Adam the Clown being turned into ham by his chainsaws, took 11 years old me some while to come back to the game. After I did, it was an amazing experience. Figuring out how to use the sandbox at your advantage, details like all the clocks in the mall being functional or discovering the Untouchable mixed drink, became of my favourites games ever. It's incredibly replayable.
  • 14:38 funny you say that, Snorlax can learn Surf implying it has great swimming skills. Meaning even one of the laziest pokemon in all of history can move through water better than the dumb AI.
