I’m a teacher and see my pupils (aged 14-17) play with, brush or braid each other’s hair quite often. Or I see them scratch each other’s back. I never tell them off for it, because I think it’s such a sweet gesture!

I cant be the only one that in primary school i would pretend not noticing that someone from behind was playing with my hair so they wouldn’t stop 😭
  • @crucellio718
I can hear the teacher now. “This isn’t a hair salon, ladies.” 😂😂
  • @URLemily
There’s a special place in heaven for the “can I play with ur hair?” Girls🥺💓

Honestly, I think girls in class playing with our hair or scratching our back is the first ASMR experience to many of us and it's so sweet that this is such a shared experience among many different people🥺

Man, shoutout to everyone who did the hair playing and back drawing to others, yall are the real ones

In high school I would receive compliments on my long hair often, usually from girls. This was more often than not followed by a request to play with it. Especially in choir. What amazed me about this was the wide variety of girls that would sit around me and chat while one of them brushed and braided my hair. I wasn’t friends with them, but it made me feel included as they chatted on about personal topics that normally I wouldn’t be hearing about. And almost all of them would have to take a turn feeling my hair after one of them exclaiming how soft it was. I really appreciate that these girls felt comfortable enough around me to be so open and also treat me somewhat special. Also this comment section totally passed the vibe check ✅

This is probably the best comment section I have ever seen in YouTube, no negativity, no hate, just people enjoying the asmr and sharing their nice stories 💖

I used to be the girl that would trace peoples backs on the carpet and play with their hair- watching them relax was so nice :) and I always wore a cute sweater that had fluffy dots on it and some other kids would trace on me! I was the weird kid but some people knew I would get stressed easily and would trace the lil dots for me. Honestly shout out to those kids yall saved me in middle school

I was a child that went through child abuse and I wouldn’t let anyone touch me at one point in time but there was this girl in my class who would play with my hair and scratch my back and I felt completely safe, so thank you for making me feel safe again 3/27/2022 Thank you to all that have responded with positivity and personal stories, thank you for words of kindness and encouragement. To those who had a problem with what I wrote I am not sorry. Nor will I ever be. You don’t have to like what I wrote/shared and I don’t care. I reached out because this video comforts me and I find solace in it, not for attention or likes or anything. It’s life. I am alive, happy and I am Standing for those who have been abused
  • I remember one time in first grade when all of the class sat down on a rug and listened to the teacher read. My teacher would read in a light and really soft voice, which was so relaxing. Then, my friend would always play with my hair and trace my back/neck. That combine with the teachers voice was soooo nice, and this video reminds me of that ❤️

As a kid in kindergarten I loved the amount of lice outbreaks we'd have at our school since I loved the feeling of popsicle sticks and gloved hands being gently touched and rubbed through my fine hair... always gave me the tingles, thanks for helping me find that feeling again.

This brought me back so ACCURATE! I remember the teachers screaming "THIS IS NOT A BEAUTY SALON" and ruining the most satisfying sapphic experience of being at school.

I was always the "weird girl" that was shy and ignored, but girls always complimented my hair and would ask to play with it. I loved it so much, it made me feel liked and included. Even if it was just for a few minutes and that they would go on with their day and not talk to me again, it still felt special to me because it was one of the few interactions I had with other girls my age since I didn't really have any friends. I always got shivers and tingles when they would play with my hair or write on my skin. It felt different than if it was my mom doing it. The fact that it was girls that I admired and thought they were so cool made me feel special and happy.

  • "I don't know if I should tell you, but I'm going to tell you okay?" No, but in all seriousness, this type of person in the back of the class in public school- God, they were amazing. The back scratching and hair playing and drawing on me, I loved it all so much for no reason. Well, it made me feel safe. It's so nice to feel that again. Thank you. Truly <3

I had a boy in my class one year in elementary school who I think had autism and I remember no one really talked to him or hung around him, because he seemed different, especially to kids who didn’t understand. He was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met to this day, and I remember he LOVED anything related to dinosaurs, and whenever the class had free reading time or inside recess, I’d let him show me all his dinosaur books he had and he’d tell me every fact he knew about them and it gave me the most asmr anyone’s ever given me. I’m not sure why exactly, but it did. Long story, but I suddenly remembered him today and thought I’d share ❤️ his name was Cody and I think of him a lot, especially when it comes to asmr. Hope he’s doing ok now, wherever he is.
  • This brought back memories of the girl in my math class, that I didn't really know, who played with my hair. She did it every class and we became very good friends. She knew all sorts of gossip so we would just talk sh*t. I'd always leave class with a super pretty braid🥰

I had my first tingle in kindergarten. My friend and I were seated on top of the monkey bar. I laid my head on her lap and she started playing with my hair. I felt a sensation that went through body starting from the top of my head right down to my toes. The bell rang because recess was over yet I couldn’t get myself to move out of that position it felt so nostalgic like it has happened before. My whole life I was searching for that feeling again. Years later I got the exact same feeling but this time from an asmr video.
