Hey, Mamas, thanks for watching my video! I'm so glad to have you here and apart of this community! How many weeks pregnant are you and what are you most excited about for birth? 💛
  • @RandelleSolomon
Breath technique times 1:14 - Destresser Breath - breathe in 4-6 secs, exhale 6-8 secs, 4 times in a row (get through contractions) 5:43 - Transition breathing - short shallow breaths; 2 in, 2 out (resist the urge to bear down/push) 7:57 - "J" breath - breathe in, low moan out, tighten abs/uterus as you breathe out
  • @butterflyyy8639
I had no meds and used breathing techniques for 4 births. I had 2 water births, for my last 2 babies. I am SO glad I had no meds😅🥰 I kept looking to Jesus to help me, which is how I get thru life... xxx ❤️✝️
  • Guess what? I am going to try this breathing style right now (2-3cm). Pray for me and for my baby. Thank you for this advice.
  • I just gave birth two days ago and the fact that I had watched this video previously really SAVED THE DAY!!!!! I went into spontaneous labor at 40 weeks & 2 days and we had no babysitter! Due to COVID-19 I had to labor in the hospital completely alone! These breathing techniques got me through my entire labor with no epidural, no complications, and not a single vaginal tear! Thank you!!!!
  • @Cloudyy128
I just wanted to let you know because of your breathing techniques, I was able to go through my labor with no medication or epidural!!!! I want to thank you for everything!!!!!! The best experience ever !!!! I had my son today at 2:15 after getting my water broken at 11:50 AM.
  • @philippians1213
I am so thankful to God for leading me to this video ! I did these breathing techniques through out my labor and i felt that i have had control over my contractions by the grace of God.... Thank you so much !!!
  • I'm a doula, and this video is really useful for my pregnant clients, because the techniques are simple and effective - thank you! One more tip: Relaxing/dropping your lower jaw as you breathe out also really helps to open up the cervix (I think I got that one from the great Ina May Gaskin). Wishing all the pregnant women (and partners) watching this a good, strong birth experience. xox
  • @Geo-rg2yq
I hope to God I will remember these breathing when the time comes.
  • @senshistar
I'm watching this for the second time with my second baby, after using these practices with my first babe! I pushed him out in 17 minutes because of this video!🎉 Thank you.
  • @minitac6236
Thank you so much for the tips and especially the breathing techniques. I was able to successfully labor at home doing the breathing, headed to hospital once I felt that the contractions got stronger especially knowing I was already 4cm and 50% effaced. Once I got to hospital I was already 6-7 cm and 100% effaced. I still kept focusing on my breathing and only that. Two hours later with no pain medication/pitocin I had a baby boy naturally. Good luck to everyone especially with this Covid19 pandemic, just focus on the positive and breathing and in no time you will have your baby in chest
  • Wife getting induced today, going to try these breathing techniques to have a better labor process. Thanks, sounds simple and effective. Pray for mom and baby!

Hey Bridget! I just wanted to leave a comment thanking you for your YouTube channel and all your valuable information! My wife and I watched quite a few of your videos in preparation for her labor, especially the breathing technique ones and they worked amazingly. My wife unexpectedly went into labor during week 37 of her pregnancy (which could have been in part to her doing your birth ball exercises 🤔😂) but I was able to be with her and help coach her with her breathing through out labor because we had watched your videos together!! I even found myself saying “remember what Bridget said about breathing” while mimicking your techniques throughout her process!! 😅🤣 She had a natural birth with extremely minimal tearing and did NOT need an epidural during labor! (This was literally 3 days ago!) While I know everyone’s pregnancy and labor is different, I just wanted to thank you again because the techniques really really worked for us! So even though I’m a “Papa” lol I just wanted to thank you again for your channel and information and would recommend it to anyone reading the comments or wondering if it these techniques actually work!
  • I had to come back to this video and let you know that because of you and this video, I was able to have the natural, epidural free birth I wanted 3mths ago. I had pitocin and an epidural with my first. I had a reaction to the epidural and long story short, wasn’t able to walk without my leg giving out on me for about 3mths. I didn’t want the possibility of going through that all over again now with a toddler to care for, too. While I was in labor this time around, I literally typed in how to breathe when in labor (lol) and clicked on your video. I watched and did exactly what you instructed the entire time. I went into the hospital breathing as you instructed, blocking out all noise around me and was just focusing. Within 30min of arriving, I delivered. When I was in transition, I wanted to get the epidural but the doctor felt I was doing great and told me to continue breathing as I was. Thank you so much, you are amazing! I will definitely be suggesting your video for any pregnant woman I come across! Xo
  • @gabsauce1359
Bridget! I watched this video one day before going into the craziest labour ever. Your breathing technique of counting my inhale and exhale was literally one of the only things that got me through to the end. I have a very low pain tolerance and I couldn't believe it but I got through my whole labour without any pain medication. I actually coped so well that we didnt call our midwives until I was already in transition (and didnt realize it!). Thanks so much for putting this information out here! ❤❤
  • @KissBEGINSwKaee
Followed these breathing techniques on my first born (12/31/2019) and it worked so well! Everyone was amazed that I wasn’t crying or screaming during my contractions! Thank you ❤️
  • @sandyaleman1619
I had my baby this Monday 8/5/19, and I want to thank you so so much! You replied to my comment about me being so nervous about delivering my baby with no medication(two weeks ago), well guess what, I DID IT!😭😭💕💕 all thanks to you and your videos! Especially this one! Again, thank you so much!
  • @kylamackey4426
I watched your video a week before giving birth and on the day I went into labour. Baby was born in the bath at the birthing unit in under 5 minutes last week. I used all your breathing techniques and 'breathed' my baby out. It felt like she was coming out on her own and I just needed to help her along. My first baby I remember making a bit of a noise when pushing that it scared my partner haha. But with this time round as I focused on my breathing, I hardly made a sound at all and I was soooo much calmer. I remember once she came out I looked to my partner and said, "I did it!!!". Not just because I gave birth but because I used your breathing techniques and I couldn't believe I remembered what to do and just how it actually worked! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us mama's xo
  • Can’t recommend this video highly enough. I’m a first time mom and literally breathed my way through labour with the help of one shot of pethidine which I don’t even think made much of a difference. The midwife was so impressed and couldn’t believe I used just my breathing to get through a fairly fast and intense labour. My midwife was actually bored because I didn’t need her help. Women’s bodies are made to do incredible things and we just have to trust them.
  • @excellence_vee
I had my little one 6 weeks ago and I watched your video everyday in my last trimester. It really helped! Doing the“J” breath is a lot harder than it looks (considering you’re breathing while pushing) but thank you so much for this!! To all expecting moms: when the time comes JUST BREATHE! Breathing is going to get you through the whole thing
