i'm really late but in pokemon lets go you can always run away from the pokemon and it won't break the chain. you can tell it's about to run cause it has a certain animation like ponyta did.

I have 4 shinies in Pokémon Sleep. A Houndour, a Houndoom, an Ekans, and an Eevee which I got in my birthday. I also got the Houndour this morning

Love this concept. Decided to do the same thing myself, though without the consequences. At halfway through, I've missed 5 days, found over 100 shinies in 7 games, 1 alpha, and shiny hisuian voltorb in every pokeball in sv. Still need 2 alphas and a non pogo legendary if i stick with your goals.
