Actor “ my mum just passed away due to canc..” Interview interrupts “So what’s your favourite animal”

The fact that Willem Dafoe doesn’t have an Oscar yet tells me the industry really lacks acknowledgment for originality. He’s legendary. For the vas character he has portrayed and created.

There’s just no one like Gary Oldman. The guy is on another level. One of the best actors of all time, absolute humble genius

Tom Hanks. When everybody else is hesitant, he just says it. So much honesty. I love him for that.

Talking about James Franco while he’s sitting right there without saying his name is hilarious 😂😂😂
  • 35:03 mark was CLUTCH.... James Franco's reaction when he was asked if he agreed with Tom Hanks- was worth a million dollars

I ran into William Defoe at my local laundromat. It was just the two of us. I starred at him and asked the obvious: "Aren't you...?" He said yes. I apologized for disturbing him. He said, 'We're in a laundromat.' I loved the fact that their was no artifice no ego. We had a wonderful conversation. I ran into him again and his wife was with him. He introduced her to me. If I had my wits about me I would have asked him and his wife if they had time for a coffee. He was gracious and totally genuine. By the way, the laundromat is right down the street from my small apartment in Paris.
  • My opinion of Willem Dafoe just rose exponentially. What a thoughtful, interesting, intelligent man.

Respect to the interviewer for going right at Franco, had him squirming

This has some of my favorite actors: Hanks, Defoe, Oldman, and the massively underrated Rockwell.
  • @musicmancesar
And they dont put William Dafoe in the Title, capital mistake!
  • The fact that they were talking about James right in front of him was crazy then he’s asked “do you agree James?” His eyes like 😳

So much respect for John Boyega sitting back, listening, thinking, and speaking when he has real insights to contribute. Cannot imagine the pressure to cut in and try to prove himself at a table like this. His talent speaks for itself, but his humility and confidence will make him a legend in his own time

Nobody should ever interrupt Willem Dafoe when he's dropping philosophies on life. Edit: Nobody should ever interrupt Willem Dafoe.
  • @KingCheeseFace
never seen a 63 year old with as fresh a trim as willem defoe
  • @therealAkito
Willem Dafoe: "ya know, I'm a bit of an actor myself"
  • @siphillis
32:34 It's interesting how thoughtfully Hanks navigates such difficult subject matter with clarity and grace compared to Franco's neurotic, panicked response.
