I saw Mickey the first time about 50 years ago at Willies Place in Texas. I was working for Tommy Overstreet, and Mickey walked up beside me and we were talking. I didn't know him until Tommy O walked up and started talking to him. I saw Mickey two weeks ago in Okeechobee, Fl and he was as congenial then as he was before becoming the Major Country Star he still is. He is one of my heroes!!

R.I.P. Mickey, your talents were legendary. Country music has lost another great & the spiral continues downward!

I was so Blessed that I had the thrill of seeing and hearing Mickey in Brason..He very much made you feel like it was just you and him ..meaning he really made a point to talk and communicate with his audience. What was so great you had the chance to buy the DVD of that night you were there ! He was so personal and he had broken his leg and was in a wheelchair and still performed as if he was sitting and telling stories ..showing videos as if You were sitting in the living room of his or your home ! He was an Awesome entertainer ...very personal and he is truly the greatest I have ever seen. Mickey is and always will be truly missed ! I just hope he felt more love from his admirers than he showed us !
