Saying Goodbye to our first dog Misty

I am so sorry for your loss. I too, know the agony you must be going through. I lost my sweet husky Rhea last Sept and still feel the pain every day. She was only 5-1/2 years old. Since her crossing, I tell her brother Retro every day that I will make today his best day. I no longer take them (him) for granted and give him as much attention and love as I can. Give your other pups extra attention, attention you would have given Misty! Just like I have! One day, in time, you will be reunited as Rhea and I will,,,, God bless....

Sorry for your loss. We lost two dogs (our only two at the time) during Covid to both old age and cancer. And, it was hard, very hard. But, they both lived very good lives. One passed real quick, and we didn't have time to get her any type of intervention. ANd, the other got sick and went from normal dog to very, very sick in less than 7 days. And, with her, there was no intervention possible for her, because she had cancer that had spread everywhere. And, yes, we took both of them to annual check-ups, but they were PERFECTLY HEALTHY so it's easy for doctors to overlook any signs of cancer. So, know that you are not alone in grieving. To this day, I still grieve my childhood dog and all the other Pupsters that have made my life great. But, after losing Cocoa and Oreo, we got 2 shelter dogs that were sisters, and we saved them on the very last day before they would have to euthanize them, because they overstayed their welcome at the shelter. But, we saved them -- just in time. Just don't stop loving Puppers because of this loss. That's what is always hard for people to remember. They need us just like we need them.

Its always hard to say goodbye, but the last thing we as owners can do, is to free them to cross the rainbow bridge. Run free Misty❤

I'm crying for you. Beautiful to see how she was full of life at the beach. She listened to every word you said to her, and she understands. Animals do understand what we say. Sending a prayer to help you with your grief. You will see her again.

Sadly our dogs dont live as long as we do. But they enrich our lives in so many ways even though the grief we feel on their passing is unbearable. My condolences on your loss
