Welcome to the November 2021 Ask Me Anything episode of Mindscape! These monthly excursions are funded by Patreon supporters (who are also the ones asking the questions). I take the large number of questions asked by Patreons, whittle them down to a more manageable size — based primarily on whether I have anything interesting to say about them, not whether the questions themselves are good — and sometimes group them together if they are about a similar topic. Enjoy!

The "biggest ideas in the universe" series was truly amazing. Thank you!

Sean carrol is one of the most interesting to listen to. He just seems so genuine.

A 4 hour AMA - what a gift! Thank you Prof. Carroll!
  • I can tell from listening to Sean Carroll how quite intelligent and precise in his thinking he is! 😊

If I could have another baby, I would play these "ask me anything" videos as soothing baby bedtime sounds.

Definitely getting these new series of books
  • I wait for the AMA every month. It's the true highligt for me in the world of pod casts. Giving almost four hours of this excellent insights and knowledge doesn't make ot worse, trust me. Christmas once every month, except for December of course, haha. Thank you very much for this. 🙏🏻

I love these videos so much, especially the AMA. Thank you for continuing to do these!
  • I hereby grant Sean the permission to be overtly snarky. No future excuses required. Love these AMA's and the honesty here. I still want to see a debate with Sabine on the big points of disagreement, and a return to fighting religion and it's dogma in debates. Thanks again Sean :)

I love everything about Sean Carroll. You are so good at explaining, and I love cats too, the max. Your obliteration of fine tuning with WLac will stick with me the rest f my life. You utterly well.. you won.

"Biggest Ideas in the Universe" is brilliant! This is a fantastic idea and I will certainly pick up all three.

SHUT AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!! Love the videos. I struggle a bunch to keep up. I could not keep up, but enjoy trying.

I just need your signed book when you come to visit London again?
  • I like the "self undermining argument" reasoning. I've noticed it before, where people insist something is true even when the reasoning which lends it proof undermines its own reason. I've always called it an argument into nihilism, as nihilism (existential nihilism) suffers the same flaw.
  • I read Something Deeply Hidden. I appreciate how you reduce stress in science.
