This episode is like a roller coaster ride, a thrill a minute. Possibly, my favorite episode. Thanks for posting!
  • Being a retired solider, I noticed his unifprm. Wearing Army Khaki Uniform but with Attention to detail. He is wearing a Marine Corp Markmenship Badge.
  • WOW, Those officers had guts No body armor, Going after well armed felon with no backup Only a shotgun

As a boy I rode the roller coaster called the Cyclone Racer in the "this is the city" beginning. Born in Long Beach. June 2,1945. I also swam on that beach many times in my youth. The Pike amusement park is in the background. The Long Beach Pier is to the right.

Oh that’s nice, pour the rest of your coffee in the hallway ashtray. So it soaks real good into the sand. The building custodian loves that.😕

On the APB it gives an approximate age. He has done time so the should know his exact age!
  • Originally telecast on March 19, 1953. Adapted from a December 14, 1950 radio episode (in this version, Frank Smith replaced Ben Romero).

"...now serving a life sentence..." Until his next Army parole comes through.

So he wasn't charged with four counts of attempted murder of a police officer, two counts of resisting arrest and first degree escape?

14:59, this is one of the good aspects of Jack Webb productions: he made the actors talk between themselves about non-criminal things!

My uncle Chalmer Close came out from Chicago to Los Angeles about 1957 in a 1956 Studebaker Golden hawk. It took me and my best friend Jim Otto to the Long Beach Pike and we rode that roller coaster. Thrill of our lives was that first downhill when you feel yourself coming out of the seat. A year or two earlier he came out in a 54 Oldsmobile and took me and my best friend to Disneyland about 1955 just after it opened. There were long waits for the rides, but not so much for the teacups so we rode that one. My friend was much bigger and stronger than I was and he just spun the wheel insanely for the entire ride and we felt sick the rest of the day. Dear Uncle Chalmer just smiled at us the idiots.
