I played the shit out of flash games when I was younger. Warlords, Sonny and Sinjid, Swords and Sandals, Feudalism, Fancy Pants, Chaos Faction, Raze, Age of War, Territory War, Arcane Castle, Achilles, Last Stand, Mastermind, Flash Trek, Epic War, Stick Wars, Epic Battle Fantasy... The list of amazing Flash games and animations was endless, these are probably only like the 10% of the Flash Games I can remember right now that I loved. Made me sad to see the end of Flash but these games will never leave my childhood memories.

Warlords: Heroes was my crack. A more complex version of the classic: ACHILLES

Feudalism, Stick War, Warlords, Strategy Defense, Mud and Blood 2, Age of War, War and Beyond: Deadly Strategies, Warfare 1917/1944, Epic War, Miragine War... I used to play so many strategy games. Thanks for bringing my memories back

I remember a spinoff of this game that turns it into a sidescroller hack-and-slash following Achilles. And I remember being able to soccer kick a decapitated head towards an approaching enemy.
  • Graphics were definately best in the first imo. Just detailed enough you knew what was what but not enough details to look janky like the newer ones. It was like with swords and sandals where the more complicated the designs were, the more the rough edges really showed where you kinda just ignored the jank in the older ones because it was all simplistic enough to flow together. Warlords was one of those classic games, glad to see it still being put around

My god, every once in a while I'd get reminded of a game I loved playing as a kid and the wave of nostalgia hits like truck. Just last week I was reminded of the zombie game Last Stand.

Simplicity and clarity are honestly pretty great for visual appeal. You also get to fill in the gaps with your own imagination a bit, which I think is better than an overload of detail and a plethora of things to keep track of.

Remember that you can still access most flash games through flashpoint archive, it is a real nostalgia trip
  • "...My main site to play games on was Kongregate." Ah, fellow former Kongrade. I always went with the Human Alliance. They're generic, but so are most human-based factions in fantasy strategy games. I liked the armor advantage plus their theme of humans allying (sans the western lads, of course) to kick the other species' rears. Didn't stop me from enjoying the other character's in "heroes," though.
  • Woaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh WHAT?! There's a second and third game? I've only played Warlords (1) and Warlords Heroes
  • You have no Idea how many nights I spent searching for this game and trying to remember it's name after I played it so many years ago. God bless you and the algorithm that decided to randomly bring your video to my recommendations!
  • @Zero-Dux
Oh shit, this was my budget total war game with my broke ass pc.
  • my childhood didn't just come knocking on my door today... it broke it down to its very hinges goddamn this vid was a welcome surprise!
  • man I am glad to see I wasnt the the only using the spam axeman strategy I remember playing this game when I was a kid and I remember abslotelty adoring the elves because I loved the whrilwinder guy I remember rushing him straight up and giving all the upgrades on him because he was just so cool and murders everything
  • Yooooooo I never thought I would get a flashback of this part of my gaming past
  • @Ghostmite
I'm glad I'm not the only one that forgot this gem of a game, this, the last stand, warfare 1914/1944 and the age of war games were just straight up bangers back in the day

In either the second or third installment after winning 2 different campaings, or winning one and then with the demons, a new faction was unlocked. It was an Arnold Schwarzenneger terminator themed one. Does anyone remember? There was a T-1000 with a riot shiel and a baton, one with a machine gun, one flying similar to the T-1... and so on. And as people here have state I often remember the cool flash games I played as a child/teenager, like Fantasy Kommander, 1917 and 1944 and 1066 (a stick game of the viking invasion of england), there were some really cool games... sadly all gone since flash stopped working. I recently I remembered this game only I couldn't remember the name, so thanks for this video.
