Many players are often given the title of legend but in Mal's case it is definitely deserved. He commands awe and respect from all sectors of the game and quite simply he is the best centre ever to have played the game. He should be named the next immortal without question.

RL legend. Once met him in a shop in Castleford during the 1994 Kangaroos tour. It was a bit weird meeting someone as revered as him, but he was a lovely bloke. Kind regards from a Pom in West Yorkshire.

The selection panel are kidding themselves if Mal is not selected as the ninth immortal. As far as achievements in the game goes, he's done it all.
