Is no one gonna talk about how sam ran from his responsibilities AND DIDN'T DRAW THE HAND???
-
Ya'll, the way Sam looks so frightened as he sees us in the camera 💀
-
The "now you might be thinking it's time to add some shadows. YOU'RE WRONG, course it's time to add some shadows. " Killed me LOL
-
Dude you literally blend out the shadows and suddenly the image snaps together in my mind like OMG HOW DID HE DO THAT? WHAT IS THIS WIZARDRY?
-
Tattoo looks sick though!!!
-
"I'll to go the the grocery store, I'll get my milk, but I'll always come back." A truly inspirational quote from Sam.
-
not gonna lie, this is one of THE best tutorials about colouring i have ever seen, the way you explained it, i didn't get it like that, til now. Thank you very much.
-
Why do I have a feeling that Sam is slowly going into a new era with his fashion style.
-
This is actually really helpful. I've been struggling with coloring my art recently
-
"You might have a hard time finding the right colors just like how you have a hard time finding grass to touch." - wise words Amazing tattoo by the way:)
-
HOW COME SAM RELEASES A VIDEO ABOUT THE EXACT THING IVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH RECENTLY 😭😭😭😭 THANK YOU
-
Id also say that another important aspect for getting the right colors is to have the background be the same as it is in the reference, or at least a neutral tone. Colors are perceived in terms of relations to one another, so it could help make sure the colors are correct
-
The tattoo literally looks so sick holy crap
-
i have been waiting for this and now i’m watching this while writing about you on an A1 page for my final exam for art 💀

For anyone curious as to why some shadows are hard and some soft. It is because there are 2 different types of shadows, form shadows (soft) and cast shadows (hard). Not always razor sharp or really soft, depends on lighting ofc. But good to know as a rule of thumb. Search it up if you want to dive deeper, really interesting stuff imo. Anyways great video as always sam!

HOW DID HE KNOW I'M TAKING A DUMP?!!?!! I got so scared fr😭😭
-
Thank you for helping your art village colour their art, Sam. Ps. (The money at the beginning would help as well)
-
This was really helpful, usually when I look at a reference I get overwhelmed by the amount of colors, but I can tell now that they got there step by step.
-

Love your humor and teaching style. Not going to lie and say I'm going to pick up my pad and pencils again when I get home, but this video is definitely making me consider it!
