''when you launch the sims 4, do you ever feel like there's something missing?'' yes, the actual game

the most tragic thing... is that everyone is pretending the Sims 4 is a great and fun game, the sims community is really brainwashed. I'm so shook ngl.

Remember: it is morally correct to pirate any EA game, especially Sims 4

The game is way more laggy than sims 3 at this point. Looking forward to Life By You and Paralives.
  • As easy at it is to blame EA for the state of the Sims 4 we can't ignore the role the playerbase had. People are far too forgiving when it comes to the Sims 4. How many times have people expressed disappointment with how broken or lackluster a pack released only to say they'll buy it anyway because "the modders will fix it" or "at a discount when EA gets it together and fixes their stuff" or even "I don't care about the problems with the pack it has X feature I really like." Guys, EA doesn't care how you feel about their game because they know you'll throw money at them anyway. All they gotta do is put out a pretty pre-rendered trailer to get people hyped and you're hooked. Other gaming communities would've straight up stop giving the developers money for putting out low quality content like this. Just look at gaming disasters such as Redfall, Fallout 76, and No Man's Sky at launch. Those games got torn to shreds when people saw the state they were in. The difference is that at least No Man's Sky actually fixed their game and put out all their promised features and then some. The sims 4 on the other hand...👁👁

If you think this is bad, wait until The Sims 5 launches as a cross platform online focused free-to-play mobile game riddled with microtransactions, and an in game currency to be exchanged for real world money. When that happens, not even the mods will save you since games that deal directly in real money typically frown upon any kind of modification/hack, to the point of the companies issuing full bans.

One thing I hate about Sims 4 is I have to keep constantly fighting my Sims where in Sims 3 my Sims do what I tell them and things go the way I want to.

I've refused to give EA any more money, stopped playing, used my saved money to buy a beefy PC, and I am currently enjoying my time IMMENSELY in the sims 3 🥰
  • @CHRISARIES
I have no regrets dumping Sims 4 years ago. I'm only keeping up with the game to see what kind of CC the players will convert to The Sims 2

The only way to get the message through to EA is through mass boycott of their products. Stop buying the Sims 4 stuff and simply return to the previous games. There are more than enough mods out there for the older titles to fill up your time, and you don't even have to give EA a cent of your money if you know where to look. Reject modernity, embrace tradition.

Even after getting all the dlcs for free I could not play this for more than ten minutes

perfect timing! i downloaded sims 4 like 3 days ago because i somehow wanted to play after seeing all this horse stuff (i don’t have horse ranch but after seeing sims 4 content so much lately i just wanted to play it) and i have never been that disappointed, i opened it and immadiately regretted it because it was that boring and after playing only sims 2 and 3 for the last months i noticed how little gameplay there is… so i’m going back to my lovely sims 3 lol

I just dont understand how toxix simmers on twitter still get excited about eps and when I say sims 3 so much better they literally attack to me with words saying animations are better in ts4? nonsense.
  • @nervosims
the sims 4 is a genuine chore to play. so much of the gameplay is just imagining a better game
  • @tATuCentral
The thing that sticks with me is that a few years ago they were committed to pack refreshes to fix a bunch of things fans complained about.. and to date.. they’ve done 1 refresh. Also, I remember when people were upset with Stuff Packs beginning in TS2, but now we have 4 types of DLCs and DLCs for DLCs. I’m really saddened by how EA is handling one of my favorite IPs.

The sunk cost fallacy was actually why it took me until My Wedding Stories to actually uninstall the Sims 4, even though I had already given up on the game by that point.
  • @tia1366
I stopped playing Sims 4 after Cottage Living. It just wasn't what I hoped and I went back to Sims 3. Great vid!
  • @bethanygribble
i always say this: mods in the sims 4 are used to make the game enjoyable, mods in the sims 3 are used to make the game smoother
  • @CanonOverseer
The Sims 2 just has so much personality, life, details, whatever, all the little things like going shopping, how the cars worked, the most indepth gene system I've seen in a game, how sims could get one sided crushes it just has so much love in it, while sims 4 is just this sterilized mess created solely as a sequel because they wanted more money with no care at all
