Alright, as a 67 year old today, I too loved Lost in Space and had a crush on Angela. Back in Los Angeles where we lived, the studio or something said if you wanted to send a letter to your favorite cast member, here is the address. I actually did and several weeks later I got a 5x7 picture of Angela Cartwright in the mail and it was addressed to me...and she signed it.......I am pretty sure she really did sign it LOL! I had bragging rights at school...no others had a picture of her except me! Ah 1967.........those were the days huh?
  • The only reason I watched Lost in Space was because I had seen Angela Cartwright in The Sound of Music, and consequently, I developed a pretty substantial crush on her. I wrote her a fan letter in 1966, and she had hand-written a beautiful (her penmanship is like calligraphy), four-page response, on very nice personal stationery. She was a class act, and I became forever smitten.
  • She's part of my childhood -as PENNY ROBINSON -LOST IN SPACE (1965-1968)-and I got a crush on her -and still have it . Crushes never die.
  • Angela and her sister seem like lovely people. They've certainly built quite a legacy on film and TV.

She’s so communicative, relatable, down to Earth, and self confident without being cloyingly narcissistic.
  • Brings back good memories of growing up in the 60s. Angela is a delightful lady.

I just love her!! I could listen to her talk all day! She's lovely!
  • When Lost In Space was on She was the very first girl I ever thought was pretty. I was in 3rd grade. What a sweetheart.

I definitely had a crush on Angela Cartwright when I was growing up. She was always so beautiful, poised, and charming. When I see her now in this video, her beauty and charm still come through. She's obviously a very intelligent person as well, which explains why she was a very accomplished actress at such a young age and throughout her career. She will always be very special to me since she was a part of what was iconic on television, especially The Danny Thomas Show (she was so adorable and funny) and Lost in Space (her character, Penny, made the show relatable to me since she was closest to my age, the prettiest girl in the cast IMHO, and brought warmth to the family atmosphere aspect of the show). Her presence in any TV project or big screen movie (The Sound of Music is one of the biggest and best movies of all time) always brought class and professionalism.

She is my favorite character on the Danny Thomas Show. She had the best lines.

At 67 I still got a crush on Angela. Amazing woman, didn't know she was from England, I use to live in Wales. Still learning new things.
  • I love these interviews, I'm so glad someone did them before it was too late. Angela is just as charming as she was on Lost in Space.

Thank you! Beautiful, talented and articulate. So wonderful to see her.
  • "Penny" was my favorite character on the show, forever apart of my 60s childhood, Angela looks great here and also fond memories of her in " The Sound of Music"....
  • As Penny, she was so charming and pretty. And in color, she was "the most" - to say the least!
  • Met the entire cast many times at shows in Los Angeles. Everyone is so great to their fans! I think they love their fans as much as we love them.

Articulate, gorgeous woman! Loved watching her act and roles over the years

Damn!!! 50 years later, and I still have a crush on her!
  • I was very young when Lost in Space was on. I thought Angela Cartwright was beautiful. Of coarse she was and is. What a beautiful person, inside and out. I recognized her in Sound of Music right away when I saw it sometime later. Thanks for having her on. What a pleasure, even heart warming.
