  • Steph I have been making your tortilla recipe since the 5lb recipe came out 😊 I make them about every 2-3 months I hand them out to family and friends who love them. They are always so surprised at how soft they are after they pull them out the freezer. They don't stick together at all makes it easy to just grab 1 at a time. Sending you ladies loves & hugs from Texas.

I’m Native American - Navajo. We make tortillas as well but they are a little thicker. We use baking powder. This is interesting. I’m definitely going to try. They look so goood! ❤❤
  • @Onehalfnavajo
My mom is Navajo, she taught me almost exactly how to make flour tortillas like you… she taught me with butter! My older brother uses crisco, but I don’t like vegetable or seed oils and prefer animal fats. Awesome video!

Yay!!! Real authentic tortillas simply and clearly explained. You have no idea how hard it is to find someone who knows what they're doing. I appreciate you 😊

Im a pure Cajun. We never learned this here. Tortillas come from Walmart we thought growing up. Last few years I have learned to cook a lot. I am learning to cook tortillas. I love this video and even more awesome from you. Thank you.
  • “Sometimes it’s not you, it’s the ingredient(s)” Absolutely agree and love this! ❤
  • @Rachel-ul8et
I made your tortillas and chilli Colorado. My family said it’s the best dinner I ever made. Thank you kitchen goddess

I ve been a baker for 40years and never made tortillas until today. Wow are they good! Your recipe turned out tender and melt in your mouth texture. Thank you so much!
  • I’ve been watching and practicing the views tortillas for about a year now and I have finally achieved soft and fluffy tortillas. Thank you girls!
  • @totsNfam
Stephanie you look absolutely stunning. I love how she explains step by step how to cook her recipes, it makes it easy for a single dad like myself. God bless and much love ❤️
  • Girl this recipe is everything. I used butter and my tortillas turned out fabulous. I let the dough rest for about 1-2 hours while I cooked dinner and it came together so nicely. Such an easy recipe and best one I’ve tried so far.

Your flour tortilla recipe from two years ago has been my go to and the only one that has given me beautiful, flexible and tasty tortillas. (The video where you gave north to south directions for laying them on the comal). This recipe looks to have both a higher moisture and fat ratio to flour. I’m definitely going to try these. Thank you!
  • Hello...I absolutely love authentic tortillas. Ive made them one time and gave up. Ive been CRAVING shredded beef enchiladas and it only is great if i can make the tortillas myself. I do not have the lard, but i do have unsalted butter. You expressed we can use butter. I hope that they will be just as great??? I wish my sweet husband was still here with me to help enjoy this meal..or just be the rock for me as he used to be. One day I will see him again...thanks to a change of heart..he became a christian before he passed away..So, in short..this recipe is dedicated to my man.."Biker Bob"!!! Thank you for sharing...Jody
  • I recently started making tortillas a couple months ago, they’d come out good but some times I felt like I lost touch if I didn’t keep doing them every week. But this recipe has been the best I’ve used! They came out so good! Thank you ❤️❤️
  • Hi …I just want you to know how much I appreciate your hard work from you and your team …the recipes you share and make easier by showing step by step have really made a difference in my cooking abilities… thank you so much
  • Thank you for all the tips. Your recipe was my 5th attempt at making tortillas and it worked! The ingredients were the same -you were what made the difference!

I have never in my life tried to make my own tortillas from scratch, until watching this video. I do have some baking experience, just no experience with making tortillas. As a 53y.o. man I struggled with this. All the while telling myself that at the end of the process I will be wiser and more knowledgeable for my effort. I used butter instead of lard. In the future I may try to use lard so that I have a frame of reference for comparison. Before making the small dough balls I weighed the large ball of dough, so that I knew roughly how to evenly split it up into equal parts. I had roughly 653g of dough so I broke it into roughly equal parts of 65g, or 10 smaller balls. If I make them again I might aim for somewhere between 70-75g for a 12" tortilla. My tortillas ended up closer to 10 inches. the extra 5-10g of dough I believe would have helped in making the tortillas a bit larger. Overall, I consider this a success even though I struggled. I learned a lot from my experience and moving forward I have the benefit of what I learned along the way. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe with us all in this wonderful video. 🙂

OMG, OMG!!!!! Steph, this recipe makes the softest and tastiest tortillas I have ever tried. A piece of advice, DOUBLE the recipe. You will be left wanting more. They taste and feel so good :) I have a family of 6 and the tortillas disappeared within minutes. xoxo, you ladies are awesome!
