  • I can attest as a 13 yr old American girl in 1970, there was no young man as achingly beautiful as David Cassidy. RIP David.

I couldn't contain it any longer when Susan walked out I was so completely stunned and overwhelmed I cried slow, soft tears. You could tell David felt a genuine connection to each individual that showed up that night but Susan rarely makes/made appearances. Their warmth touched my soul this evening. RIP David, you are in Heaven now.

Susan day was really talking from the heart, and it makes you wonder if she knew something that no one else did, a tear-jerking moment very emotional

I lost my girlfriend over this guy, never forgiven him (even though we were only 12!) Great talent!

I remember being there for the taping of this show. At that time I worked there. The audio tech asked me if I wanted to help mic David. I wanted to but didn’t want to invade his privacy.💁🏻‍♀️I saw him in the hallway walking to the studio. We acknowledged each other with a nod and smiled. I played it cool.😊Tech said to me, I never saw you with the biggest smile before.🤭 March 10-11.2023 saw Shaun Cassidy concert. He still has his voice. He sang David’s song and I swear he sounded like David. Bless them both.❤️💙💜🖤♥️💛💚🧡🤍🤎🌸🌹🌺

In case anyone’s wondering, this aired on March 23, 1994.
  • Susan Dey never got over him, though she married twice, and had a child of her own. He broke her heart. The emotions are all over her face, her. I believe she was mad, crazy in love with him. Probably until the day he died. He looked like he was kind of trying to contain himself, also. You can see he had affection for her. I think the memories came flooding back for him in that moment. Even though, he didn't feel the mad, crazy love for her in the same way, he felt for her. She looked like she was going to burst out crying. Plus, his wife was there, and oh what a jealous look on her face! Like, " you better leave him alone, he's mine!" Just think if he had been able to give her a chance, what gorgeous children they would have had! Such is life. RIP David.

He seemed so happy; and healthy, sad that he couldn't fight his demons. As someone who came of age watching him on TV, and listening to his music he will be missed.
  • How does your heart hurt at the loss of someone you've never actually met? I'm crying now, my heart does hurt and I wish him peace. I am so grateful for all he gave to the world.

Oh, he's beautiful. My heart aches - I can not fathom he's gone...such a talent, such a kind soul. His music, outstanding voice and other talents will live in our hearts forever. Love you David. RIP.

I never realized how affectionate David Cassidy was.  He gave everyone really big bear hugs.  He must have had a great heart.  I feel so sad he's gone from our lives.

It was fun working with David on this event. The arrangement of “I think I love you” was something he always talked about doing and we worked it up and rehearsed it the week before this show was recorded. It was a great band too. The drummer (Kenny Altbush) and I had just come back from the Endless Summer Beachboys tour that David was the opening act for. The Harp Player, (Warren Hamm) only did this one gig with us. He is a fine player and singer also and plays many instruments. We were all told in advance to look surprised and David was supposed to be doing a TV interview but these things are set up in advance so the honorees know what is going to happen. It was really a lovely day.
