A New Reality - Greendale High School Every 15 Minutes 2017

Published 2017-05-20
Greendale High School students, parents and staff participated in a two-part assembly to shine a spotlight on the impacts of driving impaired and distracted driving on May 17 and 18, 2017. Students observed the simulated crash scene and the watched this video as part of the program.

A goal of us as educators is to ensure our students have experiences and tools necessary to allow them to make informed, safe choices. This assembly is one way the school can make an impact that leads to understanding of the serious consequences of poor decision making.

Our hope was that this powerful program would challenge students to think about drinking, texting while driving, personal safety and the responsibility of making mature decisions when lives are involved.
