I just want them to force devs to make apps edge-to-edge by default. The black bars on the top and bottom are so hideous.
  • @BadLuckDez
I do like the new volume overflow menu. I wish the sliders were a bit slimmer tho. Still a pretty good upgrade to the previous look.

Basically Samsung and Google have partnered and have shared Patent licensing on each companies own features. Most of the "NEW" features you see on vanilla google are OLD Samsung features we've had for years. Private space = Samsung secure folder , New Audio layout = Samsung sound assistant. ALSO visa versa, google's new Wear OS (on samsung watches) and OS features will be added to Samsungs UI 7. The future looks bright!!

These feel like changes they can make in monthly updates 🤷‍♂️

Honestly still looks like Google hasn't done anything.

At this point, my desire to change phones is driven by android updates. 😅.
  • But have they figured out how to properly theme the icons, specifically every app of their own.

Great rundown of evergthing! Great job Damien and Jordan! Glad I got to hang out and have some fun with you all! 0:32 :_9to5Damien: Btw, loving those new exclusive wallpapers offered to members! Android is a mature operating system and it sure seems like it is from these subtle quality of life updates.
  • I would really love it if google adopted true dark mode instead of the grayish one and introduced some transparent element in the mix because of the grayish dark mode that they use, many apps like whatsapp, telegram etc act like that too, people who spend a lot of time in those apps could also save a decent battery if they had true dark mode like samsung or apple. Private space should be great.
  • Ooh this sounds amazing! I need to see how accessibility for the blind keeps up though. Also keep up the great content. Love your work!!!
  • @kertveira
0:57 it means you install the app again in private space. I thought I could just move the apps I want moved there.
  • 3:57 what that feature does is turn off notifications while screen casting. It is not disable secure window flag.

I am super impressed with the slight touch of adding a toggle to automatically turn on Bluetooth in a day 🍻
