Props to Taz for his hard work. He not only learned those kicks but he also learned how to cook and even cooked food for the staff. He became Sanji! It definitely paid off and I hope to see more in season 2 for the future

I still can’t believe that was Sanji’s actor doing all those kicks! They looked incredible — the 10 hours/day of training really paid off!

If this doesn’t get a season 2 Netflix would have failed as a company. One Piece’s spirit lives in this show. It seems like everyone just has love and respect for the source material. Unlike some other Netflix show.
  • Big shoutout to Taz/Sanji. Being able to actually pull of those kicks is insane and adds so much authenticity.

Y’all need to consider the fact how hard it is to execute all these fight scenes, CG, choreography work, etc. from an Anime into a Live Action before comparing or dissing the LA. For what it’s worth, these actors, crews and all involved in making this LA deserves their flowers.

Mackenyu really does have an experience with swords stunts. For example, he played Enishi, the villain of Rurouni Kenshin's final movie.

People have got to give Mackenyu huge props. He’s insane. His sword fighting skills are so damn cool!

I absolutely love the dedication and commitment to the roles. No stunt doubles, no cutting corners, just a dream team of actors whose goal is to honor Eiichiro Oda and the One Piece fandom as best as they can. I am 100% behind this outstanding passion project, and I absolutely look forward to as many seasons of this they'll bless us with.

  • @ShawnDC
This show literally has the best fight scenes I've seen in a while! They really gave justice to the the anime/manga fights. 🏴‍☠
  • Mackenyu did like 95% of his stunt, no stunt double so talented and learn the sword moves so well
  • @JingIeFett
Dang props to Sanji’s actor actually doing all those kicks. I love the enthusiasm I’m seeing from the whole crew
  • @ijust96
I like how at the end of the show, Taz’s/Sanji’s leg is straight when it’s on the barrel compared to the others being bent. It shows how his legs are more in shape.

Props to Mackenyu for being able to make the three sword style actually look good...! And Netflix, please give us a Behind the scenes documentary on the show!
  • @petej3525
I have no doubt Mackenyu is amazing with swords. It runs in the family.
